Today, while giving a lecture about gases to a large chemistry class, I went outside to let loose an unusualy loud fart while they took some notes. I came back in only to see 300 students dying of laughter. I had left the wireless mic on. FML

Today, my chemistry professor made us all leave our classroom mid-lab because the class was complaining of the smell, and he was worried that there was a gas leak from one of the Bunsen burners. There wasn't, but it's nice to know my "silent but deadly" smelled like it might actually kill. FML

Today, I poured my heart out into what had to be my greatest set of lyrics for my band ever, at the same time my teacher was explaining chemical changes to the class. At the end of the lecture he picked up my paper, and set it on fire to demonstrate a chemical change. FML

Today, in Chem, I was chosen to hold the fire extinguisher just in case something happened while showing how to blow up a dangerous chemical. My teacher told me to spray if anything got out of control. He lit the fire and I freaked out and sprayed it. The entire wing of my school was evacuted. FML

Today, I was teaching and a boy sitting in front kept laughing and smiling, even after I asked him to cut it out. I got so annoyed that I jokingly said I'd knock his teeth out, and asked him to leave the class. The kid went to the principal and told him I intended to hurt him. I'm a college professor. FML

Someone once switched labels in the chemistry lab in my highschool. When the teacher went to do an experiment, it wasn't what he thought. He started screaming for us to run out and in like 30 seconds it exploded. He tried to shield the students with his body so he ended up in ICU for awhile. He's been back for a few years now but it was the craziest thing.

In middle school, the wood shop instructor cut his finger off on a table saw on the same day he lectured my class about safety using it. Hopefully you weren't hurt

One day before school one of our janitors almost cut his hand off cutting a plastic bucket, we would have, but luckily we had a SawStop on the table saw. But honestly he shouldn't have been cutting a plastic bucket on the saw with no knowledge or permission to do so. But since then he's stayed the hell away from the lab.
