Today, my boss sent me a Word document that he wanted me to make into a PowerPoint presentation for him. It was a set of proposals for the board of directors about cost-saving options. The third option was to eliminate my position in the company. FML

Today, my boss made me give a presentation to several senior company officials about the serious financial losses our division has made this year. Barely an hour later, my boss had palmed all the blame off onto me and gotten me fired. FML

Today, I finished a very important but annoying presentation that took four hours to complete. Only after writing a paragraph to explain the presentation and sending it to my boss did I realize that I saved the document as "Shit I have to do to get a promotion." FML

Today, I received a company-wide email from my boss, praising a coworker's extra effort at improving our line of business. The coworker's efforts were a direct copy-and-paste of a plan I put together three months ago. No one cared when I gave the presentation. FML

Today, my boss asked for recommendations on how to improve the office. I sent her an e-mail full of my ideas. Later, my boss sent me a reply, saying, "Here's what head office thinks of your ideas." It contained a list of insults upper management made about me. FML

Today, I was doing a presentation in front of my boss. On the last slide, someone had put a picture of a man's cock. I later found out it was my boss who did it. It was his "good reason" to fire me. FML

Today, after interviewing for a promotion to a position that was created with me in mind, I eagerly accepted a call from my boss, expecting good news. Turns out, they found a better applicant, who they don't believe will need support from the position I currently hold, so it's being eliminated. FML

Today, my boss thanked me for all my hard work and promised me a raise and a promotion. Shortly thereafter, she sent out a memo announcing she'd sold the company. The new owner immediately came in to "restructure." I got demoted. FML

Today, while at work, I was asked to see my boss. I was informed that the company would be laying off 20 people, and that I was one of them. I was told I could finish off the week, then was sent back to work. Twenty minutes later, my boss walked around and handed us all Christmas party invitations. FML

And add some "special" sections. Take a leaf out of fight club ;) Assuming it's real and not a mistake an oversight or test that had to be the stupidest boss in the world. If you're being fired anyway might aswell go out in style. ....in the industry we call them, cigarette burns

#20 It sounds like the boss is asking OP to create a proposal that will potentially eliminate his position (and thus leave him jobless) anyway. Unless the company somehow spares OP, he really has nothing to lose here.

If it was the third option then there are at least two other, better options and well two out of three ain't bad. Also, even if they eliminate OP's position that doesn't mean a loss for f job b as they may be able to slot him in somewhere else.

In most states the future employer can only ask a few questions. "Did so and so work for you? How long did they work for you? Would you employ this person again, yes or no?" Saying anything outside of that can be construed as libel, and you can sue for lost wages because they prevented you from finding work.

Make THE BEST POWERPOINT PRESENTATION EVER. Then, he'll see he'll miss your PowerPoint skills if he goes that route. Add effects and sparkles and clapping sounds, and... well, maybe not.

Wait until the last minute before the meeting to give it to him. That way your boss won't have time to check it and realise that you're pushing him under a bus.
