Today, my landlord refused to send a plumber over to unclog the sink. Now he wants me to pay for water damages because he didn't call a plumber sooner. FML

Wait, why did you use the sink until it overflowed?

If they're in a Lower apartment, then the sink could overflow as a result of water being used by the apartments above them. Water will always seek the lowest spot.

Why did you use it if it was clogged? Why didnt you call a plumber? After all it's you who clogged it in the first place! Do you call your landlord to clean your floors for you too?

Okay - so, I am a Plumber, and everything is wrong with your statement. First off, plumbing lines typically get clogged over YEARS of use. So it could have easily been whoever lived there before who made it bad. Secondly, lines can be used by multiple different apartment units. Lastly, Lines being used by multiple apartment units can fill up, even if the one that it's backing up at isn't using water.

that is your landloard problem he should pay for it
