Today, I was told I will receive no Christmas or birthday presents for the next 3 years because my parents paid for my rhinoplasty. I needed it because my 12-year-old brother smashed my nose with a hammer in a fit of rage. FML

They should also be paying for his anger management therapy. God nose he needs it.

Perhaps your brother should be the one going without presents...until he's 18 and out of the house. Or your parents could invest in your brother's therapy because doing that kind of thing at 12 is a gateway to far more abusive behaviors. If he did that to any kid not in his family he would be in jail.

As least your Christmas shopping will be much easier this year and you will not have to remember to buy a gift for your parents. Don't forget your brother though; he could really use those anger management books.

Hopefully your brother doesn't get any presents either. He should be the one punished not you, and maybe you cannot afford to buy your parents any gifts either as you couldn't afford the rhinoplasty Had it been another person that he broke the nose of he would of gotten in trouble by the police

I'd point out that he's the one that broke your nose in the first place and ask if he's still getting presents this year. If he is, one of them should be anger management therapy
