for some reason i think that her "boyfriend" is actually her trying to save her self embarassment.
Also replying to f1rst to make my post seen
(+2)How is this her problem? Her boyfriend's the idiot for addressing something to someone who doesn't live at that address. F*** his life for being so damn stupid.

YDI for getting mail
(0)Neither FYI nor YDI. FHisLife for being a dumbass.
(+1)You should always accept a package no matter what it is. Finders keepers
(0)eBay is cool...
(0)That sucks!
(0)well if he bought it on ebay its kinda okay the person would just need to reship it and he just might need to repay shipping fees so it doesnt really suck
(0)So you are using fake names on ebay, it's your own fucking fault there babe!
(+4)Yes, because she's her own boyfriend. Yup. Makes perfect sense.

@dannydawriter: Why don't you go ahead and be your own boyfriend for a few and go fuck yourself you snarky shitbag cocksucker!!!!!
Or you could not be so Goddamn stupid next time.
On the other hand, I don't see that happening.

(-1)@Nemophosis: It was really great that you could go ahead and get your hand off of dannydawriter's cock long enough to type a reply.
The point in my original YDI comment, that many were kind enough to vote down, was that her last sentence implied that she was aware of a 'default name' on an ebay account that they are using. The tone of her post was "god I'm a freaking idiot for forgetting we had this mysterious default name". Now I've used ebay in the past and I don't recall having the option to add a bunch of aliases and never heard of a 'default name', but that's a discussion for another time.
Long story short, dannydawriter is a fucking nub and I didn't feel like explaining myself to the likes of him. But now that this has turned into some twisted gang bang, I guess it was necessary. So congrats on your attempt at a smackdown, Nemophosis - now STFU!
(0)maybe her boyfriend told her later that this was the ebay name he used. and it says a lot about someone when they respond so harshly and hatefully to a little minor comment. calm down.
(0)Well of course the boyfriend told her later, otherwise she would have accepted the package. I appreciate your coming on here to state the obvious for all of us, thanks for playing!!
(0)wow "skullbuster" I bet you bust alot of skulls trolling to let out your repressed homosexuality. I only bring that to the table because one person disagreed with you, so you call everyone fags.
(0)skullbuster, you are a moronic douchebag. If you had any sort of comprehension skills you would have realized that clearly it was the boyfriends fault, not the OP's. All the insults you pull out of your ass to cover your stupidity don't work either, btw...
(+5)Your =//////= You're.
So, you're the idiot.
(0)if that was to me I definetly used the correct form
(0)damn, that blows
Someone's going to make it up to their boyfriend!
(+1)FHL for not changing the default name. It's not your fault unless you created the account.
(0)Can he still get the package back?
(0)Who gives a FUCK
(0)you obviously do, if you take the time to comment on it.
(+1)How was she supposed to know the package was intended for her? It's her boyfriend's fault for not changing the name. Who forgets something as important as their name when they're ordering something online?
OP, I'm sorry your boyfriend is an idiot. But I'm sure if you call eBay, or the delivery company, or get in touch with the seller, you can work something out.
(+4)There is no such thing as a default name on Ebay! Either this story is bogus or your boyfriend lied to you
#12 - On 08/05/2009 at 5:19pm by anony06
(0)I was thinking the same, it's totally wtf.
Either that or there's something the boyfriend isn't telling her about that Judith...
(+1)It's must be his ex's and he never changed the name. Sneaky, haha
(+2)What? There isn't a "default name" on eBay, what are you talking about? When you sign up, all the fields in the form are blank. It's not pre-filled with nonsense, why would it be? Try googling for it, there's nothing.
Your boyfriend lied to you. I think you should ask him about his mistress, Judith Jones.
(0)You beat me to it, that's pretty much what I was thinking too, about who Judith Jones really is. XD
(0)There's no such thing as a "default name" for eBay - your boyfriend used a fake name (or a stolen account!) I'm surprised they even shipped it if the confirmed name and address didn't match the billing information.
(0)why would anyone care about this
#15 - On 08/05/2009 at 5:21pm by baec
(0)um there is no way you could have a "default name" so this story doesnt make sense.
Turns out my boyfriend had ordered something a few years ago before he had a credit card, so he had to order under the name of his friend's mom. When he went back onto his Ebay account the other day (the first time in years), he forgot to change it to his own name. So he's an idiot, but I don't have to dump him! :)
(0)You can't use just a credit card on ebay. You pay by paypal or cheque. And neither of those require you to use the name of the person whose payment method it is.
Does he really have a friend called Jones, whose mum is called Judith? Why did he lie originally and say it was the "default name"? I still think he's talking bullshit.
(0)You used to be able to pay directly through credit card on Ebay at one time. You can't anymore, but it used to be possible.
Plus, they didn't actually say he PAID via credit card. Ebay will randomly require some people to put a credit card on file for verification purposes (IE: So they can track someone down if there's fraud). Usually, the requirement is because the email address you registered with was free, like Hotmail, Yahoo or Gmail.
(0)The guy would've just taken it back to the post office. They'll either call you or send someone else to deliver it, or you can call them. It's not that bad.

He didn't realize it at the time because he had used the account so long ago and didn't remember immediately. He just assumed at first that it must have been a default name. And unfortunately the package is already on its way back to it's original location.
(0)I lie about my name all the time. I don't have an eBay account though. I don't think they deserve it.
(0)YDI for being a dumb ass
(0)wow this may be the only fml on this site where the poster actually returns to comment on it,
i think eveyr oter one got cussed out so bad they went off to never return
(0)I am Judith Jones. He didn't put the wrong name, he put the wrong address. I want my GPS back, you bitch...and stop sleeping with my man or I'll cut you good.
(0)Today, I waited all day for my $400 GPS to arrive in the mail. When I asked my girlfriend if anyone came, she said there was only a package for a 'Judith Jones' so she sent it back. Judith Jones is the default name on my eBay which I never got around to changing. FML.
(0)YDI for deserving it
(0)eBay doesn't have default names on the account and using incorrect info can get an account into trouble. check the user agreement!
(0)wow, it's not like you're not going to get your money back or have the GPS returned to you. who GIVES a fuck that the mail man took it back and you won't have it for two more weeks?
#35 - On 08/05/2009 at 8:39pm by doicha27
(0)How was she attacking? She just said there was no one at her address by that name, which was true. Where is the 'logic and reason' involved in thinking 'oh yeah, maybe that's the name on my boyfriend's Ebay account'? Keeping packages that aren't yours is called theft.
(0)ummmm, ive been on ebay for 10 years. never heard of any default name as judith jones. i think your "boyfriend" is cheating on you.
(0)Mine automatically has my name on it, I never have to fill anything out. It could have been an ex that they shared an ebay account with, and just didn't think to change it, especially if he is a non-frequent ebayer.
(+2)#40, are you her boyfriend's lawyer or something? Nothing you said made any sense whatsoever.
1. I can't understand a fucking word you said, but default names are John/Jane Smith 99.9999% of the time and they're only used in small labels below the text boxes where you're supposed to enter your name as an example. And to make it easy for you, there is no such thing as a default name on Ebay. They're not that fucking stupid to let people deal with a Judith Jones name because they didn't know to change it.
2. If someone named Judith Jones was using the boyfriend's computer, then I'd think there's a high chance the girlfriend would know this Judith
3. When interested in a girl, I think I (and any sane person) would probably look for common interests among other things, far before deciding I'm not going to have a relationship with someone because their name is Judith.
4. What's wrong with getting a GPS for someone?
Like I said, I don't understand your logic, probably due to the fact it doesn't exist, but that's very understandable from a person with a nickname like 'pimpin88'.
Yeh he ain't cheatin on nobody yo he just be banging dem hoes liek dis nigga bitch judy i meen wat kinda name is dat anyway u no wat im sayin? riiiite?

(0)#44, Epic Win.

(0)WIN WIN WIN! I love your comment ^_^ As for the OP, you did nothing wrong. He should've had it delivered to HIS house. Not yours.
(0)FHL imagine how he felt
(0)ok if ur lucky it should have gone to an Unclaimed Mail Storage Facility
(0)aw, well, i hope y'all can get the seller to send it back again :)
#51 - On 08/06/2009 at 2:32am by jmeg
(0)and your bf would not explain this fact to you why? he deserves it.
(0)right, because he should have to tell her every single thing that goes on in his life
(0)When you get a package with your address on it, but the wrong name, and you've been living there a while, how do you NOT keep it? That's just crazy talk.
(0)fuck Judith jones I wouldve taken it anyway
(0)haha me too!
(0)Your boyfriend is a dumbass.
(0) 1- There is absolutely no such thing as a default name on eBay.
2- All your boyfriend has to do is contact the seller and have them
resend the package.
