Today, I found out that the drainage hose connected to the garbage disposal was left unplugged. I have been running the disposal every day, and now have decomposing food trimmings inside my kitchen sink's cabinet. FML

You're supposed to run some water down the disposal with the food to flush it. You didn't notice the sound of spashing water, or flooding? I don't know about you, but I'm reaching under my sink at least once a day for cleaning supplies, trash bags, etc. I guess I can see how this could happen, but if it was for more than a day or two, you need to be more on top of your household.
