Today, I was walking through the streets with my best friend, feeling confident in my new skinny jeans. My friend said, "you really should be wearing a thong with those pants, your underwear line is showing". I was wearing a thong, those lines were just my fat rolls. FML

Skinny jeans look good on girls; I don't know what your problem is!

That being said, the ancient law of "no fat chicks" applies here.

Why do overweight people always try to wear tightfitting clothes? Just becouse you managed to squeeze into something that's a couple of sizes smaller then you really are will not make you look good or thin, it will make you look like a stuffed sossage! Seriously unflattering, you'd look much better and skinnier in loose fitting clothes designed for your shape and size... just a tip, take it or leave it!

Fat people should never wear tightfitting clothes. EVER. It ends up making you look more gross than you already are; there are plenty of clothes that are more flattering on fat people, skinny jeans are never in that catagory.

We all have a right to our opinions. And the opinion of 75% of the population is: fat people are gross.

The other 25% couldn't be reached for comment, because they are fat.

There is nothing wrong with curves, except when they spill out of your clothes. But, if you don’t like your body shape, don’t desperately try to press it into skinny jeans, just lose weight then.

#25 - On 11/25/2009 at 7:56am by Rayn4u

You're only saying that because you're fat yourself.

#39 - On 11/25/2009 at 9:21am by d101

@24. 25% is about right. 1/3 if people are overweight, but there is a difference between overweight and fat. Plus it is more okay for guys to be fat than it is for girls to be fat, which is why a lot of the people of that 1/3 wouldn't count. I'm not being sexist, it is simply a truth in our society.

immastarr - actually, "bf" does normally stand for boyfriend. Don't go screaming at people and calling them retards just coz you used "bf" for something other than its normal use. Yeah, why do fat people always claim they are "curvy." Yes, there is nothing wrong with not looking anorexic, but if you have "rolls", you are just fat. And its gross and unhealthy. BTW, recent studies show that if women are overweight when they are pregnant it programs their childrens genes to store more fat. So its not only unhealthy for you, it can be unhealthy for your children.

fat =/= curvy

Curvy is having larger hips, boobs, more meat on your body, etc. Generally the hourglass shape.

Fat is having fat everywhere, no matter what shape your body structure is. Generally a round shape.

(-1)

They're "skinny jeans" because the jeans are skinny compared to other jeans because they are made with 5% spandex. Whether they're skinnier than usual size 2 jeans or usual size 12 jeans they are still skinnier than their regular counterparts.

#9 - On 11/25/2009 at 5:21am by esushi

(0)

Yeah, technically, but when larger people wear them, it makes their hips look wider and shows off the largeness; they won't make them look skinny. I think that's what #8 could not eloquently say.

Uhm hello!! They're called skinny jeans because of the way the bottom is tight around the ankle. It really has nothing to do with spandex! Bell bottoms, bootcut, flared, semi-flared, skinny, skinny extreme, super skinny..LOL. All about the bottom of the jeans. Also you don't have to me skinny to pull off skinny jeans..you simply have to buy the right size. Alright?? I'm a size five and that's what I buy! I don't try to squeeze my ass in a 1 and 3 fits but 5 just is more comfortable. You just need to accept your size. And plus I have huge hips..36". Great for baby makin I've been told. Hahaha.

#188 - On 11/28/2009 at 1:28am by bmoney2011

If you aren't skinny enough for skinny jeans don't wear them! Don't force yourself into them, it most likely won't look sexy. Wear clothing that compliments your body shape, not clothing that stops blood circulation and makes your fat bulge even more. You are giving your own body a bloody death gripe with those pants. Only guys I can think of that would think the muffin effect is sexy is guys with big appetites.

If you don't like your body type then get in shape. Or just accept your body and say "Round is a shape!" Either way, stop wearing clothing that doesn't fit you!

From one fat girl to another, you really shouldn't have been wearing the skinny jeans in the first place. I don't think there's anything wrong with being fat (obviously) but you really should dress for your size. Skinny jeans just aren't flattering on bigger people.

#17 - On 11/25/2009 at 6:42am by AndelleRae

(+6)

Hey, douchebag, before you go insulting people...

1) Learn to spell. It's "Lose", not "loose". To Lose is to misplace, and to BE loose is to be unstable.

2) Curves can be sexy. It all depends on how large the curves are. I wouldn't want to go out with a stick-thin supermodel. They repulse me. I like a bit of meat on a girl.

3) Maybe you should stop insulting the OP if one of your friends are fat. You're slating the OP for being fat, yet you seem to be sticking up for your friend who is apparently overweight.

4) Learn to count. You apparently only have 7 problems with this post and the comments.

5) Fat people should feel confident. Just because YOU say they shouldn't, it doesn't mean you're right.

Prat.

And OP...I feel for you. If you want to lose some weight, then good luck, but don't feel you should just because of one idiot. Or the several others that have and will most likely end up posting rude and demeaning comments on here.

'I wouldn't go out with a stick thin model, they repulse me.' That statement just destroyed any partial credibility you had, for two reasons; its hypocritical as you said the other person is a douche bag due to his insulting fat people and now you are insulting skinny people, and secondly it shows you as well are a judgmental asshole.

Being overweight is a problem, overweight people are a burden on health care, they result in the rest of the population having to pay extra tax. Excessive eating is a contributor to the increase in food prices around the world, which is a factor to starvation occurring in India and Africa. So not only is being overweight bad for the person's health and not physically appealing but it is also damaging to the world.

(+3)

Good points chris_fml.

Strange how it's okay to call skinny people repulsive but say a fat person is ugly and you're labelled a douchebag.

How is stick-thin an acceptable description but, let's say, hippo-fat not?

#30 - On 11/25/2009 at 8:41am by wazdog

(0)

hey dude, thanks that guy is reall mean

#46 - On 11/25/2009 at 9:50am by davidarquette009

chris_fml: you say that excessive eating is a contributor to starvation in africa and india because overweight people eat a lot? What about wrestlers trying to gain a weight class or just some of the general population? I work at a buffet and I've seen plenty of "skinny" people eat a lot more than "fat" people. Alot of overweight people are that way because of the giant jump in food proportions and their lack of a fast metabolism to deal with it. When you eat a steak, how big is it? The size of your fist or the size of your head?

Before you go about accusing overweight people as contributing to world hunger, you might as well call the rest of America out on it.

#52 - On 11/25/2009 at 10:30am by verylsin

(-1)

I agree with chris_fml1. How the fuck did it get ok to say thin girls are gross, repulsive, ugly, etc., and yet someone is an automatic asshole for saying that about fat people who are probably less healthy?

#60 - On 11/25/2009 at 11:19am by Intoxicunt

(+1)

I never actually said that skinny people were repulsive. I just said that size-0 models (let's face it, 90% of supermodels are size-0) repulse ME. I wouldn't hate them for it, I just wouldn't want to date one as I don't find them attractive as people.
And I never said that being overweight was GOOD. Just that they shouldn't have to be inconfident because other people think so.

#64 - On 11/25/2009 at 11:57am by The_Disturbed

(0)

Actually...I didn't say that thin women were ungly or repulsive. I said that I, myself am repulsed by stick-thin models. A.K.A. Anorexic Size-0 models that are seen as role-models by multitudes of young girls these days. Girls who are hurting themselves and their families and friends by starving themselves and causing themselves serious health problems.

I'm not saying that I find thin women repulsive either. I wouldn't insult them, nor would I ignore them or demeen them. I have plenty of friends who are thin, and many that are large, and they're all friends to me, regardless of size. I just don't find stick-thin models attractive. In fact, I find them to be quite the opposite.

#68 - On 11/25/2009 at 12:03pm by The_Disturbed

(+1)

I think you missed his point. I believe when he was talking about stick-thin models, he meant those who are ANOREXIC. And in case you don't realize, people with eating disorders (whether it's binge eating or not eating at all) should definitely not be something anyone should aspire for. Looks-wise, anyway.

#82 - On 11/25/2009 at 12:54pm by kscott88

(0)

Thanks very much for that kscott88. That was precisely my point :D

#90 - On 11/25/2009 at 1:39pm by The_Disturbed

(0)

Okay, so you said stick-thin people repulse you... but then how is it not okay for these other people to say that fat people repulse them? If stick-thin people repulse you, you find them repulsing. If people are repulsed by fat people, then they find them repulsing. Plus, you described skinny people as stick-thin, which can be seen as insulting while deriding people who called fat people names...It's still hypocritical.

#105 - On 11/25/2009 at 3:47pm by livexlaughxlove1

(+1)

Yeah, it is hypocritical. Like wazdog said, why can't we call fat people "hippo-fat" like you call really thin people "stick-thin"? Ok, if they are malnourished, obviously they're unhealthy. But I'm a size 0 (or something in that area) and I eat plenty. But you're repulsed by me, obviously. Which is fine, you're entitled to that opinion, but I'm also entitled to say fat people are repulsive and call them "hippo-fat", "whale-fat", "tub of lard-fat", and the like.

#119 - On 11/25/2009 at 4:51pm by Intoxicunt

(0)

Not all women who are size 0 are anorexic. Most of the time they just have small frames and are genetically that way no matter what they eat.

#133 - On 11/25/2009 at 8:12pm by disney_blonde

(-2)

He didn't dis skinny people. He said that they repulse /him/. It's a personal opinion.

#151 - On 11/26/2009 at 12:55am by xf0rg0tt3nx

(0)

Regarding post #119: "Hippo-fat" and "whale fat" and whatever else you said are all offensive to bigger people because those animals weigh a few tons. I'm not saying that it's not hypocritical to call size 0 girls stick-thin, but I'm honestly not sure how anyone that IS really thin could be offended by being called stick-thin. If someone called me a whale, I would go apeshit.. however I wouldn't exactly know if I would be offended by being called stick-thin, because I've never really been a really small size, so I can't look at this debate from a skinny person's point of view.
In all honestly, I don't think anyone should have really said "stick-thin" or "hippo-fat". I think we should all stick to "smaller" or "bigger". It's less offensive that way.

#153 - On 11/26/2009 at 1:06am by xf0rg0tt3nx

(0)

I'm really skinny, and in no way would I be offended by being called stick-thin. That's just me though, I dunno about other people.

#158 - On 11/26/2009 at 2:04am by onyxindigo

(+1)

I know it is disrespectful to call someone "whale-fat" ect but i think if they are going to call me stick-thin or skeleton thin when I can't help it and have tried to gain weight, as i'm sure they have tried to lose weight, then i see no problem in calling them all kinds of degrading names. That being said, OP should stop wearing skinny jeans, lesson learned.

#160 - On 11/26/2009 at 2:33am by Twin1

(+1)

chris_fml1 is spot-on. I'm an Australian size 10 (normally) and I'm so sick of people prattling on about how skinny isn't attractive and you need curves and meat on your body and blah blah blah. I'm not some obsessive dieter, I've just always been little (both skinny-wise and height-wise). Somehow it's not ok to diss fat people and use illustrative language for them (eg. hippo-fat or "fatty" or "fatso") but it's ok to call people "sticks" or "surfboards" (if they are flat-chested, as many skinny girls are)?

The_Disturbed, while I agreed with much of what you said, why are you allowed to say skinny girls repulse you yet the rest of the population would get slaughtered for saying "fat girls repulse me"? There is no difference between saying they repulse YOU and calling them repulsive. You also never specified "size 0" in your original comment. Nothing you say can fix your original comment - you still said that skinny girls repulse you, when I'm sure you would have drawn & quartered anyone who dared say "fat girls repulse me".

And to kscott88 - being "stick thin" is not the same as anorexic. I have a friend who is ridiculously skinny, but she eats more than I do and is very active (she does tae kwon do) and she just never puts on weight.

#168 - On 11/26/2009 at 5:25am by LilaBear

(0)

I'm a size 00 at 110 lbs and I eat 10x more than a lot of people. I'm also 5'7 and not done growing. not all 'stick-thin' people are anorexic or bulimic.

and by 'more than a lot of people' I mean I can eat 2 donuts and 7 cookies in a day. or a nutella sandwich with 8 pieces of bread and 7 layers of nutella.
and I don't need to excersize as I am naturally atheletic.

why is it that all the little high schoolers think any jeans that aren't skinny are automatically huge flared 70's bellbottoms? Usually skinny jeans don't flatter the body, so I get boot cut. That is a ridiculous argument. They shouldn't make tube/halter tops in large sizes but they do anyways. The people are in it for the money and they will sell their product to anyone they can, regardless of weather or not it makes them look like a sausage trying to burst out of the fabric.

Just because clothes are made in a certain size doesn't mean people who are that size should wear them.

mean I sit at home all day and eat junk food, it's hard for others. and calling people fat and gross
doesn't help anything at all. have a heart. and I HIGHLY doubt if any of you guys saw the op on the streets or any other op on this website you wouldn't say half the shit to them that you post on this! stop trying to act all hard and get over yourselves.

I'm definitely a fat person and I have plenty of confidence in myself that is not based on my appearance. I would never wear skinny jeans because they do not complement my body type. It's as simple as that. Anyone can look good when they wear clothing that FITS them appropriately - ANY stylist will say that.

Goodness so much wrong here :(
There is nothing attractive about fat people. Sure, some people think fat=sexy but you will find that it's not the majority. Out bodies are intended to be skinny and fit, not overweight. There is no excuse for being fat, it's because you didn't eat right for your body and likely sat around doing absolutely nothing. Some people can eat nothing but junk and stay skinny and some have to actually work at it. It's not fair but you only have you to blame for being fat.
Fat does not mean curvy either. I am small, but I have curves. The "curvy" excuse is just so they feel better about themselves. But your curves should not come from all your fat, your body is naturally shaped that way (unless of course you are not intended to be curvy).
And fat people need to learn to dress themselves. I once saw a gigantic woman wearing a shirt that was airbrushed on the front "baby girl". She is no god damn baby girl! It was the right size at least, but the thought made me laugh hysterically. And all these girls that wear skin tight shirts, they must not look at themselves in the mirror cause I don't know anyone that's gonna find your tummy pudge bulging out of your shirt attractive. And muffin tops! Wear jeans your size and that won't happen. Yeah your jeans might be super tight but it's pushing all that fat up. Again, no one finds that attractive.
And finally, skinny jeans themselves. I have NEVER seen someone who looked good in them. Unless your calves are a size in proportion with your ass and thighs. Almost everyone just looks unbalanced, with a huge ass and itty bitty calves. Maybe that's just cause fat whiny emo girls are the only people who wear that shit here....and emo boys but that's ugly for a different reason.
FYI: I would most certainly say all this to OPs face, or anyone really. And I don't sit on my computer all day. :) just to seperate myself from all the "mean" people in the comments

Omg guys. Fat people CAN wear skinny jeans, just like any other pair of jeans! They're called skinny jeans cuz they cling to your legs all the way down; so really, "skinny" jeans is a misleading name for them. Anyone can wear jeans that cling to their legs.

But you might say, "skinny jeans look bad on fat people!" That is true. But don't most jeans look bad on fat people anyway?? It's not the jeans, it's the weight of the person wearing them.

#58 - On 11/25/2009 at 11:13am by Avenging_Angel

(-1)

I don't think it's mentally healthy for overweight people to have these delusions. Just calling them skinny jeans makes them forget their very obvious health problem. Like someone else said earlier, just because most people are overweight, doesn't mean that's how we're supposed to be. Anything over your ideal weight is unhealthy, and these people need to stop being lied to, and lying to themselves calling their normal sized jeans "skinny".

I'm sorry to be brutally honest, but you look a lot better in your "fat" clothes than you do in your skinny ones.

I'm surprised at all the people criticizing fatties here, considering 3/4 of America is overweight, I figured the majority of you all are fat. I bet most of you are like 20-50 pounds overweight but don't consider yourselves fat because there are much fatter people out there. I'm a size 0 (I'm also 5'1) and I can call myself skinny, if you are a size 7 or above and you aren't tall, you're probably fat. Do you have chub on your stomach? If you don't have flat abs, you're not skinny.

#67 - On 11/25/2009 at 12:02pm by thecanez

That is not true. Being skinny doesn't mean having your ribs show through your clothes and weighing 80 pounds. You can be thin (or skinny, if you prefer), and have a decent, flat stomach, but you don't have to have rock-hard abs.

#85 - On 11/25/2009 at 1:06pm by bgpink

I am I size 1 in juniors, yet I have belly rolls. However, I am still very skinny. My bmi is 19.1, and under 18 is underweight. I just have a beer belly, which I am working to get rid of.

how do you have fat rolls on your ass?? even the fattest person wouldn't have them. unless you were morbidly obese. then you shouldn't be wearing skinny jeans anyway. just because they are selling them doesn't mean you should buy it. just because everyone is wearing them doesn't mean they'll look good on you. wear clothes that are form fitting but not tight (like make sure you don't have a muffin top or that the clothes make you look like a stuffed sausage). clothes should flatter your body type not make it look worse. I'm petite and thin and even I don't wear freakin tight clothes that shows off every piece of flesh I have. anyone who wears clothes like that are just attention starved and slutty regardless of body type.

And to all the people saying skinny jeans aren't just for skinny people, have you seen a fat person wearing them? Obviously not because it does not look good.

And just because someone is fat and overweight doesn't mean they're a lazy slob who does nothing but eat. And just because someone is skinny doesn't mean they have an eating disorder. People are so ignorant and misinformed nowadays.

"anyone who wears clothes like that are just attention starved and slutty regardless of body type"

Attention starved I can get on board with. But slutty = sleeping with tons of people, not dressing revealingly. Showing a lot of skin doesn't mean you bang everyone who walks by.

#75 - On 11/25/2009 at 12:40pm by perstephane

"Slutty" actually does mean dressing in revealing clothes and always being starved for all types of attention.
The term for girls that go around sleeping with the whole town are called "whores".

I had to sign up for an account simply to reply to your ignorance.

Being a size seven does not make someone "fat." Not having a 6-pack does not make a person "fat." Just because you're a size zero doesn't mean you look good, honey.

I am 5'3 and currently a size 7. I weigh 120 pounds. I have had two children. My stomach IS flat, thank you very much, my pants size is because when you grow up (which you obviously still have to do) your hips widen. That's called "nature." All of my weight is pretty much in my boobs, and before I had children, I was also a size zero.

Go to class and have an opinion after you get out of 7th grade, mmkay? Maybe more people will care then.

@#93: You're now officially my best friend.

@All the rest of the ignorance bashing overweight people: I'm 5'8 1/3", and 220 lbs, and I wear a size 18 in juniors sizes.. Yeah, I bet you all think I have rolls everywhere, but if you look at my display picture (YES, that really is me. I'll send yo more pictures if you think differently), you will see otherwise. I'm just tall and a bit wider than most women.
In all honesty, just because some people weigh a good bit doesn't mean they're disgustingly fat. Their bodies could be proportioned differently, (i.e. height, width of bust/waist/hips) and like I mentioned earlier in my post, some people could have a genetic trait (like I do). Most of the people on my dad's side of the family are overweight, and that trait carried to me, but yet I'm not disgustingly overweight.
Take that into consideration and stop being so narrow minded about overweight people.

Now the hugely obese people wearing clothing that don't fit their body right AT ALL, I agree with you. They need to wear clothing that fits, because muffintops are just not cute.

/facepalm

You people are whats wrong with the world. There's so much wrong with what so many of you are saying, i don't even know if you realize how incredibly ignorant you are. First of all, skinny jeans refer to the cut of the jeans, just like bootcut, flare, relaxed fit, etc. do. It doesn't refer to the body style they look good on. Honestly, they can look good on a stick thin woman AND a woman with curves. Its about knowing how to wear them. I've seen women/girls who are a scary skinny still have a muffin top and i've seen women with curves completely outdress/outstyle them. Why? cause they know how. Hell, i've got curves. I've got an ass and i've got breasts and i've got hips and i've got thighs. And i know how to rock a pair of skinny jeans. So no, you don't have to be stick thin to look good in them, you just have to know how to wear them. And explain to me, i mean really, give me a reason why its SOOOOOOO wrong to be curvy? Overweight and curvy are not the same thing. And overweight is not so terrible either. Its not healthy, but it doesn't make someone less of a person. It doesn't mean you get to disregard someone's feelings or treat them as lesser human beings. Beauty is skin deep, but ugly is clear down to the bone. That flawless skin and tight, taut body you love so much is going to disappear one day. Just because your mother and father got together and created a physically appealing combination of genetics it doesn't mean you're beautiful. Sure, you'll look good. But it doesn't really matter if you don't have the personality to back it up. If you're so petty, judgemental and shallow and you don't have a kind, compassionate bone in your body, then you are ugly, no matter what the mirror tells you. All the make-up and pretty clothes in the world can't hide that kind of ugly. And just one more thing for you to think about. That person you make fun of might be fat, but you're ugly and they can lose weight.

forgive my undue psychoanalysis, but the rather untoward remarks slung about in these comments, like two squadrons of artillery trading volleys, are awfully telling about all of you as people, and i must say that what i am reading off of all of you doesn't particularly bode well.

essentially, what the lot of you are doing is subscribing to, defending, and reinforcing traditional beauty standards set into place by a patriarchal society that treats women as something to be ogled and fawned over as a trophy of sorts. basically the lot of you are placing yourselves into easily defined roles that do nothing but continue this endless dance of futility and inevitability.

firstly, you have the typical response of a Patriarchal Man, wherein he demeans the woman at hand for being, i guess, some sort of hideous, bloblike ogre whose tremendous mass, akin to that of a celestial body, is surpassed only by its endless desire to consume all that surrounds it. this is because he is being faced with the primary enemy to established societal and gender rolls, that which is different, which is dealt with through subjugation of the supposed offending party through whatever means necessary.

secondly, you have the women confined to societal roles, whose reaction is just as violent as the male's, even more so, perhaps, due to the OP violating their long-held trust of what a woman should look like. their rage is unbridled and second to none, because they also fear which is different, they fear that because societal conditioning implies that all that which is not like them is ugly or unwanted, and a subconscious, well-hidden fear of themselves. their poor self esteem sows the seeds of fear, a fear that they are no better than whom they are attacking.

thirdly, you have the most surprising, least willing supporter of the patriarchy, the very women who would defend the OP, not due to her intentions, but her tactics. the response is reactionary and defensive, thereby showing to those verbally assaulting the OP that their tactics are working, that their defenses are weak enough to allow these insults to get to them.

in summation: fuck alla y'all.

Either that, or it's pretty foolish to wear clothes that are probably not comfortable in order to fit in. You skipped over that while you were complaining, but I guess tiny details are hard to see when you're up that high on your horse. If this woman's jeans are squishing her body like that, it pretty much can't feel good. Doing that because skinny jeans are "in" is foolish. She could be wearing clothes that fit her well and she would certainly look better and feel better; no one would be critiquing her manufactured panty line, if nothing else. There's nothing at all wrong with dressing to suit your natural beauty, which I am sure she possesses. Making an ass of yourself to be hip, though, that's going to get "you deserve it," because frankly, you are the one who made an ass of yourself.

If you're going to be superior, you'd best come prepared and you'd best know that no amount of buzzwords is going to keep people who pay attention from seeing that you're pretty well full of crap. Sorry, snowflake, but you're not as smart as you think. Go write a sad, angry poem about how stupid I must be not to suck up to you.

Awh. Maybe you should get jeans that fit better then, since it shouldn't show that much. And kinny jeans aren't for everyone, there are many flattering jeans for curvier types. :)

It isn't bad to have more curves, just skinnies don't work with them.

I didn't take it as skinny/scene jeans. I took it as "skinny jeans" for her. Ya know, how women have "fat jeans" and "skinny jeans." Like maybe she lost some weight.

If I ever get that fat, I will kill myself.

#124 - On 11/25/2009 at 5:17pm by fishness

(0)

Oh please, most fat girls just claim to be "curvy". The curvy girls I know aren't fat, it's the structure of their bones that give off the hour glass shape.

YDI for being fat and wearing SKINNY jeans. You also deserve it for not knowing your size.

Skinny jeans are fine. They just dont look good on some people, like fat people. Just like Some clothes for super curvy people wouldn't look good on super skinny people. So OP, you found out skinny jeans aren't for you. Either don't wear them, or loose some weight.

You deserve it for wearing skinny jean. Theyre unflattering for anyone.

Skinny jeans imply a certain amount of skinniness. As do thongs.

YDI. DRESS FOR YOUR BODY TYPE. Life's not fair. I'm sorry, but if you're fat, please don't wear: skinny jeans, tube tops, halter tops, short skirts, or LEGGINGS (GOOD LORD)

#144 - On 11/25/2009 at 10:40pm by noshitsherlock

(0)

Hallajuah!! I totally agree, it doesn't matter if you are a size 2 or 20 you need to wear the right fitting clothes, and the size won't matter in the end. Ugh!!

#150 - On 11/26/2009 at 12:47am by sobe23

Good grief, dress for your body type. Wearing unflattering clothes makes you look heavier! Just because scary thingLindsey Lohan can get away with skinny jeans does not mean the general population can.

Wow, I must say to all those who posted such nasty comments are simply...nasty. I understand that if some one is overweight they should lose the weight. However it seems that all those who said that the OP should lose weight seemed to infer that she should lose it because it will make her prettier... and this makes me very sad. I live on a college campus and I see all these stick thin girls flouncing around in too much make-up while tanning all too often. Just because some one is skinny doesn't make them pretty, and it's unfortunate just how much we invest into looks. Some one should dress up nicely for confidence reasons, not because they need to fit in with what is considered 'beauty' at the time.
Personally, I'm not the trendiest person, I'm really normal. I'm 5'3 and 130 and I've always had issues with body image until just about a year ago. I realized looks don't last and what matters is personality. Honestly the best thing I have to say about myself is not that I have an amazing body, but that no one has ever called me a bitch. I put effort into being a good and caring person and I understand some need criticism but all those who said 'fat people in skinny jeans is gross' are a bit harsh. No one likes being put down like that, and you shouldn't say something you wouldn't want to hear yourself.
And those who I have met who say comments such as the harsh ones I've read are generally the ones who have the least self-confidence.

Skinny jeans are for skinny people. Maybe she should get a pair of fatty jeans. No that's mean but I really hate it when people wear them they're usually chubby emo kids

What the fuck was a fatty doing in skinny jeans?

This is why we can't have nice things.

#163 - On 11/26/2009 at 4:56am by Wololo

I don't have sympathy for people who don't dress for their size.

Just because you have fat rolls doesn't mean you're overweight, but it does mean you can't wear clothes designed for size 8 girls.

My younger sister is about a size 12, so not overweight by any means, but she wouldn't try to wear a skin-tight tank top or skinny jeans coz she knows it doesn't suit her body. That said I have a size 12-14 friend who, while she has a bit of extra fat, is mainly muscle, and far too often she wears skin-tight dresses and tops which show every bump and roll... she doesn't need to lose weight but she'd look so much nicer if she just chose a dress a size or two larger.

Rule of thumb: Skinny jeans.. are for skinny people. If you have fat rolls, don't accentuate them. Buy some pants that fucking fit.

#175 - On 11/26/2009 at 4:06pm by blacklite69

This doesn't even mean OP is fat. She's just in denial about her size. If you're a 5 and you wear a 3, you're going to look like 9. It happens. Next time do a butt check and go up a size. Sheesh.
YDI.

Go on a Ramen diet. Drink off the sodium and glutamate (with tap water, not alcohol) and you will lose weight (the noodles don't contain that much fat) and gain money (food expense is $3.15 a week).

i give thumbs up to #89
i personally believe that skinny jeans are for everyone to wear....as long as you feel comfortable in them.
just becuase you are "bigger than normal" doesnt make you a disgusting fat tub of lard.......Im 5'2 and I weigh about 185 lbs. and i fucking rock skinny jeans....most of the weight comes from my ass and hips....i personally HATE seeing girls with muffin tops and i will buy a bigger size if needed to accomodate me....and for all those people who say that being big is disgusting....guess what fuckers? being too skinny can be pretty nasty too.....just cuz you are skinny doesnt make you more beautiful than a bigger woman....its all about your personality and whether or not you are comfortable with your weight.....confidence is sexier than anything, people! and FYI you fat-haters....the majority of women are a size 9 and above.....so good luck on finding your "perfect" size 8 and unders, douches!

1. Skinny Jeans are for skinny people.****
2. Fat people who wear them look stupid, and like posers.
3. No one wants to see a fat person in skin tight pants; it just shows how fat they are.
4. You don't need a thong to wear them, big deal if there's an underwear line, no one notices- unless they stare at your ass for an hour.

I know I sound mean, but seriously, a lot of people make fun of fat people who try wearing skinny jeans. Its just not flattering. Just stop.
