Man or woman?

Today, my mom came to me and asked if I had drank her wine. I'm 16, so I lied and said "no". The next morning there was a DVD on my bed labeled "pool house security cameras - love mom." It was a video of me downing two bottles of red wine and having it off with my boyfriend. FML

Always check for security cameras before you have sex.

#9 really? so she has a pool house, bfd. the "problem", regardless of the incidentals, was that her mom caught her drinking and having sex with her boyfriend. pretty sure that's not a good situation whether you're rich or poor.

Is calling her a cunt really necessary? Like you had perfect judgment at 16.

#18 - On 03/12/2009 at 6:35pm by soulonfire928

Well, that'll learn you a thing or two. Maybe next time when your mom asks you something, you will assume she already knows and just wants to see if you're telling the truth about it.

#19 - On 03/12/2009 at 6:36pm by Nemephosis

At least your mom is being cool about it. If my 16-year-old daughter was lying and stealing my wine and having underage sex in the poolhouse (poolhouse! seriously!? wtf!), I wouldn't be kind enough to just leave a DVD and a note signed "love mom." Your ass would be in sooooo much trouble.

Cheer up and realize that this could be way, way worse.

#20 - On 03/12/2009 at 6:36pm by ree

I like ow you americans are saying that it's 'underage sex.' Not here it fucking isn't. Ahhhh yeeah :)

That will make a good story for the 18th, 21st birthday parties. :)

#21 - On 03/12/2009 at 6:36pm by Obfuscation

why would you even do that in the first place? you have your whole life to down two bottles of wine after you turn 21, why rush it?

as for the sex, I mean, whatever, it's normal. I can't be a hypocrite.

#22 - On 03/12/2009 at 6:37pm by fortunecookie

i've never been caught on video, but i've lied about drinking.
next time, don't lie
your mom seems cool about it otherwise she would have called you.
try not to lie
or get filmed having sex

Today, I watched my daughter drink two bottles of wine and have sex with her boyfriend. Then she lied to me about it. She's 16. FML.

#37 - On 03/12/2009 at 6:53pm by paniclovie

Ok, #18, I bet half of these people are 16 or younger, anyway.

And I have read this in a lot of posts and I really don't get it. Why ISN'T this a FML #25? What exactly classifies one of these a FML. Honestly, it does really suck that she got caught by her mother, and she lied, and it f*cking sucks. To me, that's a FML. By the way most of these people put it, a FML is something that's not their fault, something that just really sucks. But why would this site have the votes of "I agree, your life is f*cked!" or "You deserved that," if you think that there should be a classification of FML's. Clearly, this site has an idea because they reject some of them, and they make sure they're true and good FML's, as it says in FAQ of this site. So, I really have no idea what anyone is saying when they say something is not a true FML. It makes no sense to me. But hey, I'm a weirdo.

#38 - On 03/12/2009 at 6:54pm by le_lauren

damnn why is everybody so harsh.. what a ridicilous mother, using security camera's to watch their children who don't know or realise. How paranoid is she.

#39 - On 03/12/2009 at 6:58pm by boer

I hate to say it, but that's kinda what you get... Sorry

#40 - On 03/12/2009 at 7:04pm by Sloan_The_Great

# 38 + 39: my words! everyone is so harsh and critical here, and making smarmy remarks, as if they've never done anything wrong in their lives.
so yeah, maybe drinking at 16 is a bad idea (actually you're allowed to drink beer and wine at 16 here in Europe btw), especially stolen wine, but what a fucked up mother is that?? i HATE parents like that, sneaking around and spying on their kids and doing everything to embarrass them. let them make their own mistakes, ffs!

thou shalt not lie to ur mother about drinking and fucking ur bf in the pool house.

#54 - On 03/12/2009 at 7:41pm by mr_cricket

People, they're 'security cameras'. They're always there, their daughter is just oblivious to stuff it seems, especially when she drinks two bottles of wine.

#55 - On 03/12/2009 at 7:43pm by alex_vik

She for sure could have shared the wine with her boyfriend. It's two bottles, yeah, but put into glasses, it's probably not even 8 glasses each. And what's the time frame?? How long was she in the poolhouse for, drinking?

Having drunken sex with your boyfriend at 16 is not slutty. In less than two years she'll be 18... maybe she'll have the same boyfriend. It's not slutty at 16 and it won't be slutty at 18, 26, or 36.

When's the first time you had drunken sex, and when was the last? Last time for me was in November, but i'm not a 16 year old girl haha.

Nor was it videotaped.

Nor was it withnessed by my Mom. haha FYL

#56 - On 03/12/2009 at 7:43pm by BigMick83

#41- Maybe those cameras were put there not for the sole purpose of catching her daughter but for actual break-ins, hence the name security cameras...

#57 - On 03/12/2009 at 7:47pm by CeeCee

haha you people obviously don't remember being 16, i suppose.
it ultimately was her poor choice to steal her mother's alcohol and have sex with her boyfriend in her house, yes, but she's not a slut or anything out of the ordinary. it just sucks that she got caught.

#58 - On 03/12/2009 at 7:48pm by effmylifedotcom

Lastly, the second bottle might not have been finished.... :"Downing two bottles of wine" is a bit ambiguous, as it might mean that the second bottle still had some left in it.

Regardless, two bottles is not a lot for two people.

#59 - On 03/12/2009 at 7:49pm by BigMick83

#58 - True, I don't remember when I was 16. Mainly because I'm 15, and yet I know better than to do crap like this.

#70 - On 03/12/2009 at 8:24pm by Sgt_Schadenfreud

I had a similar experience. After New year party, I have woken up at night at factory, all alone. And the restroom was in dark workshop in 500 metres from me.

Won't to go there, I have urinated in a wine-bottle, carefully closed it and put into trash can.

After couple of days, I have received security cam record on an e-mail.

It's luck, i'm in management.

#71 - On 03/12/2009 at 8:26pm by UlmarBroemel

We were all young once. (Or will be if you're not even 16 yet)
If you never did anything remotely close to this, then you must have been too busy playing WOW and not having any friends. This behavior is not right, or smart, but it's normal. Sucks to get caught hun!

yay for wine and sex! haha.

@#20 How is she underage if she's 16?

And why are people calling her stupid? Drinking underage doesn't make her stupid. It might be wrong in the eye of the law but at least she's at home and with someone she most likely trusts

#78 - On 03/12/2009 at 8:38pm by nevann

#72
not all teens are reckless. I never drank underage and thus never had to lie about it. I also respected my parents enough never to do something I wouldn't want to be caught doing under their roof. Nor have I ever played a game of WOW in my life. You are right however; It's not right, or smart but it isn't normal either. A group of people making bad decisions should not "set the norm" for everyone else. She's 16, she has a mind of her own, she should learn to use it.

As for the author, what kind of FML is that? You're among the luckiest kids on the planet. Your family is obviously well off and your mom, I would say, respects you far more than you respect her given that instead of punishing you she simply made you aware, in a VERY nice way, that you bluntly lied to her. Seriously, grow up.

I am a 25 year old male who weighs over 200 lbs and I would be smashed after 1 bottle and don't even know what I would do after 2 bottles. I guess I would have sex in front of security cameras near my poolhouse (If i had one!)

#95 - On 03/12/2009 at 9:24pm by MJ_Alexander

@ #9
That was a pretty idiotic thing to say, considering how his/her race is never mentioned.

@ #79
I was about to say the exact same thing. Destructive behavior should not be accepted with open arms.
Side note: some of these replies were rather disappointing and perplexing to me; if someone chooses not to drink, they don't know how to have fun? Really? They deserve to be ridiculed? I think if someone seriously feels that alcohol is the _only way_ for them to have a good time, that person should probably consider going to AA.

My personal rule is if I would not comfortable admitting to something and facing the consequences, I shouldn't do it in the first place. I try and act like everything that I do/say is being recorded—that keeps me out of trouble.

#96 - On 03/12/2009 at 9:24pm by puhffft

#85 it was IN the pool house. If they are that rich whatever's in it can't be that big of a deal...

Have a glass of wine, or a bottle (or two! lol)

And perhaps relieve your stress with some sex.

Maybe even a swim afterwards! ; )

No one got got hurt here.

#100 - On 03/12/2009 at 9:36pm by Lolocheerio

@ #78: True. It depends on the state and the country. Where I live, though, it's 17. If you're under 18, it's kind of a gamble.

#101 - On 03/12/2009 at 9:38pm by ree

I want to know how having sex with her boyfriend makes her a slut?
And my god, I know 14 year olds who drink every weekend. Drinking at 16 hardly makes her evil.

I don't agree with what she did, but everyone fucks up, believe it or not. I'm sure everyone here wasn't an angel in high school.

I also like how people think her being rich means she's not allowed to ever be sad. Having money isn't everything.

#103 - On 03/12/2009 at 9:54pm by milo

#85 Obviously it is that big of a deal because they have security cameras in the first place. Pool houses can have valuables in them, it can be used to host parties, as a hang-out area, or even as a guest house, just because it is a pool house it doesn't mean it holds pool equipment. That's what the shed is for...
Who cares if they are rich, being robbed or having someone trespassing your property will always be a big deal.

#106 - On 03/12/2009 at 9:59pm by yeahreally

it makes me sad that at 16 you're downing 2 bottles of wine, either by yourself or with one other person. for that reason alone, FYL.

#107 - On 03/12/2009 at 10:01pm by augustsky

You probably know this, but if you wouldn't have lied about the wine it wouldn't be nearly as bad for you. I've gotten into my parents' booze stash before, but when confronted I just said "Yeah. I'm sorry." I ended replacing the booze and they told me I shouldn't get into their stuff, but that was the end of it.

#108 - On 03/12/2009 at 10:02pm by wildstar

#103 I know 14-year-olds who drink every weekend too. And they're all idiots who brag about getting detention and wear pants below their asses and fail all of their classes. There's nothing wrong with a 16-year-old drinking once in a while - I'm 18 and I'd be a liar to say I don't have a drink once in a while. But downing 2 bottles and getting nothing but a slap on the wrist because of it? That's just messed up.

This isn't an FML, because the poster is obviously bragging about how *rebellious* she is. Drinking and having sex underage does NOT make you cool.

"FML" is quite accurate here - way to fuck your own life! You COULD try, you know, being honest and trying to retain a shred of integrity, but you not only chose to be an underage drinker but to lie about it. To your MOM. I can't say I'm not glad she caught you. Try learning from this, hmm?

#121 - On 03/12/2009 at 11:09pm by kellster

That sucks. Maybe next time if you're going to be breaking laws and having sex you should be more careful.

109. She drank and had sex. Then she got caught. To any ordinary teenager who has lied to their parents about something big and then got caught, this IS a FML. Stop assuming you know what the poster is thinking.

#123 - On 03/12/2009 at 11:11pm by kandy

To the people who called her a whore/slut. What kind of sexist douche bag do you have to be to call someone a slut for having sex with her boyfriend?

#124 - On 03/12/2009 at 11:13pm by kandy

Haha wow that sucks. Shes got a sense of humor at least.

#125 - On 03/12/2009 at 11:14pm by llSgtScopell

People who think this is fake, do you not have any idea about the society we live in? Sex at 16 is the NORM nowadays. In fact, I think the average age to lose your virginity is about 14. Why do people find that so hard to believe? Also, another point, I've been at parties where high schooler's have downed half a bottle of vodka or Black Velvet. So I'd say 2 bottles of red wine isn't so unbelievable.

#126 - On 03/12/2009 at 11:14pm by kandy

it sucks that your mom has almost no confidence in you that she checks the cameras.
every teen does these stuff. dont listen to these stupid ppl ofcourse ud lie

#127 - On 03/12/2009 at 11:15pm by paperplanes92

gross.... your mom watched you have sex with your boyfriend?

#128 - On 03/12/2009 at 11:16pm by alisonhartsfield

Sorry my posts are all separate from each other. It wasn't letting me post it all at once for some reason.

#129 - On 03/12/2009 at 11:17pm by kandy

What, did you think the cameras were just for show?

#130 - On 03/12/2009 at 11:25pm by arms_akimbo

Having sex does not make her a slut. Maybe if she wrote "I had drunken sex with my boyfriends best friend" or something. But not really even then. Having sex with her boyfriend does not make her a slut at all.
Underage drinking is normal. This does not make her a bad person. I know tons of people who do it, and some of them get 90's and some of them don't. It's a personal choice. I will admit, drinking two bottles of wine seems a little outrageous but maybe she's a heavyweight drinker. I'm fifteen and could drink that if I wanted to, so saying she can't just because she's sixteen is ridiculous.
And about her mother, well, that sucks for her. It is kind of her fault. If I was a mother and two of my wine bottles disappeared I would inquire about it, and if I happened to have security cameras I would check them too. She is being a good mother and this girl is lucky she didn't get in more trouble than she did.
Obviously she'd lie though. I think anyone in her situation would. I mean, who would say to their mother "I drank them, and then had sex with my boyfriend"? Saying that she didn't drink them is unbelievable, but what else would she have done?
I don't necessarily support the choices shown here, but to each their own. If drinking and making love to her boyfriend is what she wants to do, then all power to her.

#137 - On 03/12/2009 at 11:57pm by greedy_dead_soul

Guys - it is NOT "normal", and I don't think it should be, for kids to have sex in their young teens ... or teens at all, in my opinion. Seriously, why are people so damn sex-obsessed? It's disgusting to see this "ultimate act of intimacy and confirmation of a relationship" turned into a drunken teenage act. OP deserved it and I hope she got much, much more punishment beyond this little videotape.

Oh, and just to kill some stereotypes - I'm 15, not Christian, and a liberal. I just have strong morals in terms of sex, unlike a lot of teenagers in America.

#138 - On 03/13/2009 at 12:14am by cyxx

Today, I saw a video of my sixteen-year-old daughter drinking my wine and having sex. FML

you'll prolly enjoy the video later =P

#140 - On 03/13/2009 at 12:24am by lifeftl

how is she a slut because of this?
she's just an idiot for not thinking.
she's only having sex with her boyfriend. that's not even being a slut :\
but seriously YDI. wow..just wow. obviously your parents are gonna notice TWO bottles of wine that magically went missing. they aren't completely daft, if at all. maybe you should think things through before doing them

#141 - On 03/13/2009 at 12:26am by chunkofchange

#138, it is DEFINITELY normal for a 16-year old to be sexually active. Having sex with someone you are in a relationship with does not make you a slut. A pat on the back for you and your morals though! I only wish I had enough strength to uphold the values of a 15-year old religiously unaffiliated liberal virgin. Get off your high horse, kid.

#142 - On 03/13/2009 at 12:35am by jesuspunch

141 - I know "slut" technically means someone who sleeps around, but I think most people on this thread mean it like an immoral person. So yeah, that kinda applies ... she's 16 and having sex wasted, I'd consider that fairly immoral.

#148, actually I think it's about 25%, which, last time I checked, was not a majority. Also, I did not call the OP a slut. Sorry if that's what it sounded like. All I meant was that I believe that sex is a really important and meaningful act and it should be handled with better judgment in a more mature relationship (like you know, when your brain is actually fully developed, which happens at like age 21)

And the background info was just because a lot of people on this thread seem to think that if you believe 16 year olds shouldn't be having sex, you must be an old, super-religious, uptight conservative and I just wanted to show that that isn't necessarily true and there are teenagers out there that do believe in strong sexual morality for non-religious reasons.

#145 - On 03/13/2009 at 12:46am by cyxx

#147 - On 03/13/2009 at 12:48am by cyxx

I said you deserved it just because you wrote "had drank" instead of "had drunk." Bad things happen to semi-illiterate people.

#148 - On 03/13/2009 at 12:50am by KFabery

#41 You must still be a kid. But most people who own a pool house don't put cameras in it to spy on kids, it's usually in their to keep an eye out in case someone breaks in.

haha you have totally redefined the term "caught slippin"

#150 - On 03/13/2009 at 1:06am by marlboro_hichew

#72 - Wow. Way to judge, did you really just say that if you didn't have drunken sex as a teenager (or come close) then you must have been a WOW-playing social outcast? I've never played WoW, ever, and have lots of close friends - and yet I've never gotten past tipsy or had sex (and yes, I've had boyfriends before). Oh look. Your stereotypes don't work anymore. Sorry.

#72 - I agree, "yay for wine and sex!"

#131 - You're 15? Really? You sound like an exceptionally smart kid with a very good head on their shoulders. Keep it that way; don't drink the 2 bottles of wine even if you can. ;)

Cyxx - Hey, did you know that 86.3% of statistics are made up on the spot? 25% of what, high schoolers or 16 year olds, are sexually active? Next time clarify if you're going to throw out stats. And that is close to accurate...if you're referring to teens ages 13-15. But as for high schoolers it's actually about 47% (1). And that statistic only includes those who have had intercourse, meaning it doesn't account for people who've only engaged in oral sex or other types of sexual encounters.
(1) Vital and Health Statistics, 2004, Series 23, No. 24

#156 - I feel bad for her! Your ignorance may speak for itself, but don't try to convince anyone it speaks for the crowd.

#159 - Hey, if her family is that rich, maybe they have a whole CELLAR full of wine, that would make it highly likely two missing bottles of wine could go unnoticed...YOU fucking dumb slut! Ha!
--------------------

And as for all of you who judge posters by their economic status, try to remember that it's the same as judging someone by their race, gender, sexual orientation, age, etc. Where the hell do you get off judging anyway, ye of lofty ethics, morals, and character (for those of you that can't keep up, yes, that was intended to be extremely belittling and derisive). You know NOTHING of these people except for a 2 sentence anecdote! My God, the ignorance is just overwhelming!! From now on, please, keep it hidden along with your unmentionables; you're embarrassing me. But (and more importantly) your asinine comments are embarrassing YOU!!!

Focker, OUT!!!

#162 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:01am by Katylolo

It's always a matter of how your raise your kids too...my parent's let me have champagne on New Year's and on birthdays since I was 14. They wanted me to subtly experience the effect that alcohol has on your body and as a result I never felt the need to go out and drink while underage, because I knew what alcohol felt like.

My brother however was raised differently because since he was a boy they thought he was more likely to be attracted by alcohol so they never let him have any...at all...he came home one night with alcohol poisoning at the age of 16...

So hopefully the OP learns from this experience...after 2 bottles of wine she must have felt like complete shit the next morning - whether or not she shared it with her boyfriend. But in my eyes, yes she was being a stupid teenager, but she's not a slut or immoral or whatever...

#163 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:19am by Puolukka

Okay, first of all, your life is pretty much NEVER fucked if you have a poolhouse. Your sense of entitlement is truly astonishing. Second, it's hardly your life being fucked if you as a SIXTEEN year old girl steel wine from your parents and have sex on tape. That's called being a dumbass.

#164 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:20am by texmas

#167 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:29am by pillow

seriously why are people being so judgmental? yah it may not have been the smartest decision but who the hell cares, it still sucks to get caught. being 16 and having sex with your boyfriend does not make you a slut, being 16 and having sex with multiple people you are not dating makes you a slut. also plenty of people loose their virginity by 16, none of my friends went to college a virgin and i would not consider any of us to be idiots or useless, all of us were honors students and got into good schools. as for drinking 2 bottles of wine, her boyfriend was there and he most likely had more than her, so they were probably drunk but its not like she had 2 bottles to herself. saying that you have to be a perfectly innocent person to get anywhere in life is stupid because so many people make mistakes, something like this is not going to stop someone with potential from contributing to the world.

#168 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:55am by vitaminsandminer

you guys are all SOOO mean. I do understand it isnt exactly ideal to be drinking and having sex at 16 but SERIOUSLY... everyone is doing it now-a-days. that's just how our world works. GET OVER IT. and stop taking out the fact that your stories on here are like " i told my mom i wasnt planning on having sex til i was married and she laughed and asked me if it was my excuse for not being able to get laid " im sure your all just jealous you cant get anything and couldnt when you were 16.

#170 - On 03/13/2009 at 5:22am by Go_for_it

#169 - Would you shut up and never reproduce? You're the reason that this generation is fucked up. 'you guys are all SOOO mean' If this is what you call mean, then you're really spineless. Back when my dad was a kid, the teacher would throw erasers at them for misbehaving in class, and no one called them mean back then. Nowadays they'd be arrested for assault or some crap if they even yelled at you probably. And 'your all just jealous you can't get anything and couldn't when you were 16', um, how about some of us have morals? It's not impossible to have them as a teenager, I'm living proof of it. Also, 'everyone is doing it' A. No, only the unintelligent teens who don't have morals and are going to lead a reckless lifestyle are, and B. Since when the hell does that account for anything?

#171 - On 03/13/2009 at 7:15am by alex_vik

#171
Try some alcohol. Here (netherlands) it's LEGAL to drink wine at beer at age 16, nothing wrong with that.
Until a couple of months ago I never went out, I just went with some friends, made some music, played some games. It was boring, and I started going to clubs, getting drunk, doing nasty things with girls.. And you know what? My life's been a blast, I wake up everyday with a smile and I really enjoy my life.

Now you have your mind preventing you and calling it 'morals', but I'll talk to you again after your first amazing night out getting drunk. And don't call me unintelligent, I'm at university doing perfectly well, I just spend my evenings and nights in bars, and the mornings and noons are spent studying.

So at 16, it isn't too strange to get drunk, it's even allowed in most countries in Europe. And having sex with your boyfriend at 16, nothing wrong with that as well! So what's everybody's problem? She shouldn't steal wine and lie about it, but come on. This situation was embarrasing enough, I don't think she'll do that again.

#172 - On 03/13/2009 at 7:50am by boer

There's nothing immoral about having sex or drinking, let's be serious. Lying about it is not so great, but let s/he who is without teenage indiscretion cast the first, etc.

I clicked "I agree" just based on the facts, even I'm physiologically incapable of feeling sympathy for anyone who has a pool house.

Honestly there are lies to get out of trouble.... and there are lies in which everyone knows its B.S. and you are just lying because you honestly believe the other person is that stupid. Guess which one the OP's lie was?

#178 - On 03/13/2009 at 10:57am by lifesabit

that's what you get for;
1) drinking at 16
2) being a skank at 16
3) being a rich 16 year old skank who not only has a pool house, has security cameras in said pool house

#179 - On 03/13/2009 at 11:17am by bakersfield

At least you have a hot video now...

#180 - On 03/13/2009 at 11:56am by gigglepants

Haha #171 you are amazing.

#172 Maybe you rely on alcohol to have fun, but others don't need to get constantly wasted in order to enjoy themselves, you don't seem to understand that. Yeah, I've tried alcohol. But you know what? My life is great and it was before I tried it. And I would still be fine if alcohol didn't exist. Also some people think that having sex at 16 isn't a good choice, me being one of those people.

#162, thanks :) Yeah, I am 15. Sorry about the statistics thing, I didn't think 16-year-olds who have had sex were a majority, so i googled it quickly, which is how I got 25%. It was indeed referring to 16 year olds, not high schoolers.

#158, I'm "obviously asexual" because I believe that sex is really meaningful and it shouldn't be done while wasted at age 16, but be saved for a mature relationship and when you're actually capable of making rational decisions? All right.

And the background info was for people like you, who think that just because I don't believe that 16 year olds should be having sex means that I am old/super religious/conservative/"can't get any". Yeah, not true.

#181 - On 03/13/2009 at 12:06pm by cyxx

I think most of the people here who are saying having sex and drinking is sooo immoral are adults who grew up way differently than our generation. Guess what guys. It's not like that anymore. Move on. Just because something is immoral to you doesn't mean it's wrong to someone else.

#182 - On 03/13/2009 at 12:06pm by kandy

I think you can probably sue your mom for making a porno with an under aged girl.

#183 - On 03/13/2009 at 12:08pm by ArtSorr0w

#182 - While it's probably true that some of the people saying it are adults who grew up in a much better generation, there are also people posting that are OP's age, or in the case of cyxx and I, are younger than OP as well and actually learned how to behave like a mature person.

#184 - On 03/13/2009 at 12:51pm by alex_vik

Since when is having sex immature? If you're in a serious relationship and you're ready to have sex why is that so immoral?

#185 - On 03/13/2009 at 1:04pm by kandy

The whole drinking thing may or may not be considered immature. But there are plenty of people, (like myself) who like to drink just as much as the next person. But that doesn't make us bad, or immature people. We just like to drink. We can still manage to be mature when we have to be, but we can sometimes have fun. You have no place to judge the maturity level of the poster based on one bad decision.

#186 - On 03/13/2009 at 1:06pm by kandy

I can't say anything about the drinking and sex - kids are kids and props to this mom about being open minded enought o level with you.

but grow up - lying only makes things worse - and the good parents know all.

clueless ones are the ones who think they're kids aren't doing anything they shouldnt do and blow their tops when they find out they were wrong.

#187 - On 03/13/2009 at 1:24pm by MonkeySpeaks

182 - did you ever think that because many of us are older and know how inconsequential highs chool relationships are and have BEEN there we may be a bit wiser than you.

Do you know how silly kids sounds when they say "new generation, get with it you old people"

The reason we laugh or sneer or shudder when we hear kids stories are because you all have a tendency to believe you are WAY more mature than you really are.

And when you are OUR ages and you look back at the kids doing things you once thought was acceptable you'll raise your eyebrows too and say "if only they knew."

Im not against kids having sex but a) you dont really know what sex is... boys your age don't know what they are doing b) how serious can a relationship be in your teens. hate to be the bearer of bad news but you have a 1 in a 100,000 chance that your highs chool relationshp will even last beyond high school.

So we're probably raising our eyebrows MORE at your belief that you're beyond your years. Many of us lost our own viriginities around that age - we also know how naive and immature we were at that age. Just like many of you are now.

Bottom line - we've all been teens before...but teens havent been adults yet. We have a much better idea of the maturity factor than you will and know how naive you are comparied to our age. Why? We've been there.

#188 - On 03/13/2009 at 1:30pm by MonkeySpeaks

OH and she was immature for lying. and for disrespecting her parents home by stealing and THEN lying about it.

And maturity is being mature at all times - not picking and chosing when and where...sorry kiddo. Mature individuals tend to act responsibly at all times... not just when they think they have to.
regardles of age.

#189 - On 03/13/2009 at 1:33pm by MonkeySpeaks

#188 MonkeySpeaks

When you're thinking to yourself, for whatever reason, the voice in your head at 16, is the same voice you hear at 26, or any other age.

I just think it's a good story, and I'm on the fence about if she deserved itor not, or if it's an FML. Actually, not on the fence, but jsut thinking kinda both! I think it's both.

I just don't think it's fair to judge, with two short sentences. But I love the debate we're all having!

There would be many different comments if the OP was: "I had sex with my boyfriend in my poolhouse.." and then she got the DVD from Momsy.

But then throw in the fact that she said she was 16 and drunk... well everyone loses their minds!

#190 - On 03/13/2009 at 1:44pm by BigMick83

Age has nothing to do with maturity. We all know 40 year olds who are insanely immature, and 16 year olds who are mature for their age.

#191 - On 03/13/2009 at 1:51pm by kandy

You have no idea who knows what sex is, and who is ready for sex. Being an adult does not mean you know everything about every single teenager and their situation. Even if most of you like to pretend you do. Sorry.

#192 - On 03/13/2009 at 1:52pm by kandy

And if you act mature at all times. You must be a really boring adult. EVERYONE, even adults, have to let their inner child come out every now and then. Just because you act immature when you are out with your friends, does not mean you are an all around immature person. You're just letting lose and having fun. Last time I checked, that was being human. Not being immature.

#193 - On 03/13/2009 at 1:54pm by kandy

Making mistakes as a teenager is just the way it is. It does not deem you immature. It deems you an ordinary teenager who is trying to experience life. Maybe, when us teenagers get older, we'll understand that we were being silly.

#194 - On 03/13/2009 at 1:59pm by kandy

Dear kandy,

You are awesome.

Sincerely, Mick

#195 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:00pm by BigMick83

But until then, enough with the holier than thou attitude and let teenagers be teenagers. We get enough, "You have no idea what love is" or "You don't know what sex is" from our parents and teachers. We don't need it from some stranger on the internet who thinks they know everything about all teenagers.

#196 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:01pm by kandy

i understand her (or.......HIM?) haha, i could be this poster. im sixteen, i like to drink wine, i like to have drunken sex (now everyone call me a slut for not having a boyfriend atm).

well.. i live in finland though.

#197 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:01pm by MGMT

Try being in the lower/working class of people like the majority of us before posting a FML. Oh no, I am a dumbass rich girl who can't keep her pants on...pity is me. Well maybe if you didn't illegally drink alcohol, you wouldn't be in this mess. Thankfully this is a problem that your money can't get yourself out of.

#198 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:02pm by KyleOkposofan

If you wanna judge the teenagers you know, then whatever. But why would you judge someone on the internet based on a short story? If you ask me, THAT is immature.

#199 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:04pm by kandy

Once again, sorry this is all separate. For some reason it's not letting me post it all at once.
Also, I want to apologize in advance if I seemed rude. But I'm just trying to make you understand that there is nothing more annoying to a teenager than an adult trying to tell you what's best for you, trying to tell you how to live your life. Especially coming from an adult who doesn't even know you.

Only an OkBOZO fan would say something like that. It's people like #198 that make me side with the OP.

And people like kandy too, make me side with the OP!

Lighten up, ignorant foolios.

#201 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:08pm by BigMick83

What? Sex isn't immature. That's my whole point ... sex is something for mature people in serious, mature relationships. Does "I got mad drunk and had sex on tape in the poolhouse with my high school boyfriend" sound particularly mature to you? (Not that I have anything against HS relationships, they can work out, but I think you should wait to find out if they're actually going to last before you have sex)

Also, kandy, maturity does not equal being boring. Choosing to not have sex does not make a person boring. It is entirely possible to have friends, have a boyfriend/girlfriend, and have fun WITHOUT sex or alcohol. "Experiencing life" does not = getting smashed and having sex under your parents' roof.

Making mistakes as a teenager (or as an adult) is inevitable. But there are just some boundaries, like sex, that you have to respect. This concept is called responsibility.

And like alex_vik said, there are posters here (myself included) who are OP's age or younger, so we belong to your generation. Yes, it's possible to be a teenager with strong morals! Gasp!

#202 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:31pm by cyxx

To all the people who are arguing that this foolish girl should go ahead and drink freely because it's allowed in whatever country you live in, the fact is still that in the US, where most of these posts come from, legal drinking age is 21. Also, this wine did not belong to her. She stole from her own parents and then lied about it. I think that's pretty dreadful, honestly. And yes, maybe she should consider herself "lucky" for having gotten away with this without any punishment other than, hopefully, humiliation about having been caught. But wouldn't it have been better if she had actually been taught a lesson here?

#203 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:33pm by kellster

Ok #201, how am I ignorant?

Am I ignorant because I don't feel sorry for someone who had sex UNDER their own approval?
Am I ignorant because I don't feel sorry for her getting caught having sex?
Am I ignorant because I should pity her getting caught even though apparently she didn't get into trouble?
Am I ignorant because drinking alcohol(something a MINOR should not be doing) got her into this mess?
Or am I ignorant because I don't feel sorry for her even though she probably has everything in the world, plus change.

Listen, I don't want to make it out to make it seem that I am jealous because she is rich. I am not. I am sure her parents worked very hard to be where they are. But the point I am trying to make is she shouldn't be posting a FML when she assumingly has all the resources in the world to not be in this situation. It's her own actions which caused her to be in this mess(drinking alcohol, and this is my speculation, but it probably is very easy to get her pants off).

I am 18 years old right now, and I live in a working class home. My parents tried their best to provide me with everything I needed to survive, but fact is, other kids had advantages over me during my childhood. That didn't make me go out, drink, and hit up the first braud(spelling?) I saw. Fact is, I went out and did productive activities(played hockey, etc.). So the misconception that "she's young, all teens have sex/drink" is a bold face lie, espically considering that I, someone from a working class family did not do any of that stuff kind of makes the original poster to be kind of .

Hmm..."OkBOZO" huh? Sad thing is you are probably older than 18, and yet you, not me the 18 year old, is the one using menial insults trying to demean the other one.

#204 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:40pm by KyleOkposofan

Sorry for the double post.

Correction of a sentence from #204

So the misconception that "she's young, all teens have sex/drink" is a bold face lie, espically considering that I, someone from a working class family did not do any of that stuff kind of makes the original poster to be kind of, well, I won't say this, your imaginations can guess what adjective I was about to use here.

#205 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:46pm by KyleOkposofan

So, because you've been drunk or you've had sex means you have no morals? I'm sorry but I'm just not buying that. However, part of experiencing life is experiencing things SUCH as drinking, and having sex. Those things are a part of life. They are everywhere.

#206 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:50pm by kandy

That does not make you morally bankrupt if you do them. If you choose to live your life without doing that, then good for you. But you have no place to judge someone who chooses to do these things.

#207 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:52pm by kandy

I was not saying that s/he was an all around boring person. S/he implied that the only way you can be mature is if you are mature all the time, and that's just not true. That's the point I was trying to make. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

#208 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:54pm by kandy

ok ALL OF YOU who are saying the mom is wrong for spying - BULL! If she's got enough money to have a pool house with security cameras, then she's probably got other shit to protect and probably has cameras elsewhere. her kid knew this, i'm sure, and wasn't using her brain (teens do this with or WITHOUT alcohol.) and you are allowed to drink at 16 in europe but the girl said in the post that she wasn't 21, hence the lie.

I think the mom had every right to see what her child is doing. until she's 18 and on her own, her mother owns her and has the right to know what's going on in her house. period.

#209 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:55pm by reallychick

And I was not in any way saying that in order to have fun you have to get drunk. I was simply defending the OP's lifestyle by the people who were judging her. I have fun without getting drunk all the time. But some of the things my friends and I do/say ARE immature. That does not make us immature people all the time.

#210 - On 03/13/2009 at 2:58pm by kandy

Having sex doesn't make you irresponsible. If she had just met this boy a few hours before and they decided to have sex, maybe she has some things she needs to think about. But this was her boyfriend. They chose to have sex. So what? Since when it that irresponsible? It was irresponsible for her to lie to her mom, and maybe even drink so much. But it's her life. Not yours. So back off.

#211 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:01pm by kandy

I'm not trying to send a message like, "hey! go out, have sex, and get drunk all the time! Yeah!" No way. But if someone chooses to have that type of lifestyle, who are we to judge? We aren't perfect people, either. I just think it's very unfair for people to be judging her and calling her immature/slutty when they know nothing about her except one mistake she made.

#212 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:03pm by kandy

Wow, having drunk sex on video...so responsible.

Also she openly posted this on a public website, so noone has to "back off" despite what side of the arguement you reside on.

#213 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:05pm by KyleOkposofan

Also, my posts were directed to cyxx. I don't know if it's my internet or the actual site, but it's just not letting me post all these things in one big post. Sorry if anyone is confused.

#214 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:09pm by kandy

One more thing, @205. So...Because YOU didn't do any of those things then that means everyone else wont or doesn't? Oh, and you're upset because Mick used "menial insults to demean the other one"? Hmm. Let's looks at the post where you called the poster a "dumbass rich girl who can't keep her pants on"
I thought you were too mature to use menial insults? I need an emoticon with eyes rolling.

#215

Minors shouldn't be drinking alcohol. Or having alcohol-induced sex.

As for you trying to make me out to look like a hypocrite, nice try, but your reasoning doesn't work. "Mick," as you called him, used a very menial tactic in his post. He took a part of my user name, and changed a few of its letters. However, when I sated "dumbass rich girl who can't keep her pants on," I wasn't trying to insult the original poster. Before I continue on, I'll let you in on one of my qualities. I don't sugarcoat things. I'll give you an example of what I mean by that. Last year when I was in high school, one of my friends was planning to try out for the baseball team. However lots of people try out, and my friend was just barely better than I am(I am horrible at baseball). So instead of sugarcoating it by saying "who knows, go give it your best shot, and you might make it," I told him not to waste his time because I am one who tends to tell it like it is in life. So what you took as me insulting the original poster was actually me just telling it like it was. She was a dumbass for drinking TWO bottles of wine, she's obviously rich, the original poster has a boyfriend so I assume she is a girl, and yeah, if she has sex at such a young age, she probably can't keep her pants on.

#218 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:25pm by KyleOkposofan

I'd rather be menial than mental!

#219 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:26pm by BigMick83

No way would she be insulted by being called a dumbass rich girl who can't keep her pants on.

HA

#220 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:27pm by BigMick83

Please refrain from continuing. Not only did you fail in calling my "ignorant," now you are going to fail when you try to paint me as "mental." I know the saying goes "stop when you are ahead," but in this case you should stop when you are behind.

As for the original poster being insulted by what I said, I really don't care. I told the truth. If she is insulted by the truth, so be it. The point I was trying to make was that when I typed it, it wasn't MEANT to be an insult, like your "clever" post was.

#221 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:33pm by KyleOkposofan

Spelling mistake in #221

In the first sentence, "my" should be "me."

#222 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:38pm by KyleOkposofan

to everyone who says that is not normal to have sex at the age of 16 then you need to pick up an effing book about human sexuality sometime. puberty is a 3-5 year process during which human children sexually mature into adulthood. The average age for menarche (which is a girls first period) in The US is 12 and a half. And menarche isn't even the first sign of puberty! It doesn't happen until 1.5 or 2 years into the process. Therefore, puberty starts (and again these are AVERAGES) around 10 years old. Being the 3-5 year process that it is, then it is only logical to say that by the age of 16 you are a sexually mature adult and it is COMPLETELY normal for you to desire/be interested in sexual relations. I am not arguing that you are necessarily EMOTIONALLY mature enough (because there are so many people--teenagers and adults--who are misinformed about sex and what it is/means) but PHYSICALLY speaking, you are more than ready. In fact, you're in your prime! The best ages for conception and prenatal health are around 17-22. And since it is in the nature of all living creatures to want to propagate the species, once you sexually mature it is 100% NORMAL and NATURAL to want to get down with the get down.

The whole debate on what age is "appropriate" is a complete social construction, not a scientific/natural one.

So PLEASE, if you're talking about age-appropriateness then say APPROPRIATE. Do not say normal/natural because when you do that you are spreading misinformation about human sexuality and more lies and confusion on that subject are the last thing we need.

#223 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:39pm by bombthedisco

@218. Honestly. Calling someone a dumbass IS menial. It's immature and just plain rude. Also, her wealth has NOTHING to do with it. You can be wealthy and still be unhappy. One more thing, sex is a part of life. Most people are going to have sex.

#224 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:44pm by kandy

Some of us just choose to have sex a little earlier than others. So you ARE a hypocrite for using such a childish insult to try and get your point across, and then getting upset when someone used a pun.

#225 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:47pm by kandy

i wasn't calling you mental, just saying. take it ease

#226 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:51pm by BigMick83

#224

Actually being called a dumbass is not a menial tactic if you act like one. If I acted idiotic, I'd understand if someone called me a dumbass. So when you drink two bottles of wine at the ripe age of 16, an age when you most likely wouldn't be able to handle it, you deserve to be called a dumbass. It isn't menial or rude at all. If you can't see that, you should stop living in a world where everyone has to be nice, and sugarcoat everything for each other.

Her wealth has a lot to do with it. As previously stated, I grew up in a working class family, and I found stuff to do other then sex/drugs/alcohol on a very moderate "family entertainment" budget. There is absolutely no reason a minor from a wealthy family has to resort to drinking alcohol, and having alcohol induced sex. None what-so-ever.

Yes, I don't disagree that sex is a part of life. I am not stupid. I know it is, and I admit I will be having lots of it in the near future. But at 16, espically while being heavily drunk, there is no need for it.

#227 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:53pm by KyleOkposofan

So kandy, alright, let me ask you a question? You condone 16 year olds having alcohol-induced sex? If so, do you also condone 12 year olds having drug-induced sex?

#228 - On 03/13/2009 at 3:57pm by KyleOkposofan

alcohol inducement (? inducement? i might have just made that up), has nothing to with it when it's her boyfriend. i bet it was not the first time they had sex. Irrelevant.

#229 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:01pm by BigMick83

Look dude. No one cares that's you're from a working class family. That's awesome. But irrelevant. Teenagers where I live do stuff like this ALL THE TIME. I'm not saying it's ok, but it's not unheard of. So there was no need for calling someone a dumbass for doing something that teenagers regularly do. It's just immature.

#230 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:03pm by kandy

Also, I'm all about honesty. But only when the honesty is TRUE. There are plenty of other things you could have said instead of calling her a dumbass. And I don't know what world YOU live in to think that calling someone a dumbass isn't insulting. I don't think you're as mature as you'd like to think you are.

#231 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:09pm by kandy

Lastly, you obviously haven't been reading what I posted very carefully. Because I clearly stated that I in no way encourage kids to go out and do drugs and have sex all the time. However, I understand that it is the norm, especially where I live.

#232 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:12pm by kandy

It actually isn't irrelevant. I actually keep stating that to disprove the "all teenagers do this stuff" misconception. I want every to know that I didn't do this in my adolecence(spelling?), and I came from a non-wealthy family(thus had less money to go do activities with, and thus had more incentive to have sex/drink alcohol). I don't say that I come from a working class family just to let you people know. I said it to prove that if I, someone from a family with very limited financial power, didn't resort to these activites, not "all teenagers do this," which is the arguement a lot of people here are leaning back on.

Ok, so your arguement now is that teenage sex isn't "unheard of." Ok, I admit that is true. I have a question for you though. Are robberies unheard of? If not, does it make it alright to do?

And just because teenage sex/alcohol drinking isn't "unheard of," doesn't mean the majority of teenagers do it.

There is need to call someone a dumbass when they do stupid stuff, like drinking two bottles of wine.

#233 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:13pm by KyleOkposofan

I'm simply defending her against the people who are unfairly judging her. I'm not trying to sugarcoat (your favorite word) or make this into something it is not. I'm simply being realistic about teenagers nowadays. I'm sorry if you're interpreting that into me saying that I think doing all these things is ok.

#234 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:14pm by kandy

Well. I pretty much answered all your questions in my previous posts. So take a looksie at those and then we'll continue this.

#235 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:16pm by kandy

"Also, I'm all about honesty. But only when the honesty is TRUE."

You support honesty, but only when it is true? Is a 16 year old drinking two bottles of wine not a dumbass? Is that an intelligent decision?

#236 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:16pm by KyleOkposofan

That depends entirely on your morals. And I have no place to decide what morals are appropriate for someone else.

#237 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:18pm by kandy

#234

Ok, I will admit, my mistake. I thought you were condoning these activities.

Still though, I don't see any reason why you need to "defend" her for some of her bad choices

#238 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:19pm by KyleOkposofan

I'm not necessarily defending her bad choices, I think it's unfair for people to judge her simply because she made one mistake. I drank, and had sex at a young age. I admit, I probably wasn't in my right mind at that time. However, it was not ok for people who didn't even know me to judge me based on those decisions.

#239 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:28pm by kandy

I'm also still sexually active with my boyfriend of almost a year and a half. I don't think that makes me slutty at all. Also, if the time is appropriate, I will drink a little. But once again, that doesn't make me a bad person. I like to think of myself as a good, responsible person.

#240 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:32pm by kandy

My choices haven't affected me at all because I'm an intelligent young woman who makes good grades in school and never lets "fun" get in the way of things that need to be done. Just because I occasionally do things that are seen as unacceptable to other people does not make me morally bankrupt, or a bad person. That's the point I'm trying to make.

#241 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:34pm by kandy

aha! well at least you have something to watch if you ever get lonely

#242 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:53pm by Samrl22

ohh and for the record I agree with Kandy shes seems smart and well grounded and as a teenager I know having sex is part of the experience

#243 - On 03/13/2009 at 4:58pm by Samrl22

#239, I think that by posting in a public place you accept you are going to be judged.

OP, it ain't wrong you aresholed yourself, the lying part is wrong. You boozed and so what? You cannot expect 2 bottles of wine that had somehow mysteriously disappeared will not be seen by your parents.

#244 - On 03/13/2009 at 6:23pm by Zic

But still, you kind of deserved that one. ;]

KyleOKposfan - Are you serious? I mean, really...are you serious?? Are you honestly so daft as to think that being rich solves ALL of your problems? I'm guessing this is in large part why you, yourself, are not rich (because if you were you wouldn't be debasing others of peer social status); you're dumb. Ha ha ha! I love calling out stupid people with uninformed opinions. :) However you, someone of obviously limited intelligence, are NOT afforded the same privilege. Therefore you do NOT get to decide who's a dumbass, much less be the one to deliver the insult. Besides, if that's the best insult you can come up with you're playing in the wrong league anyway.

And did you really just compare concentual sex to robbery? Fucking...seriously???

Kandy - You're a smart chick, you super-rule. :D

#246 - On 03/13/2009 at 6:27pm by Katylolo

First of all: don't lie, gurl. Secondly, I highly doubt you can drink two bottles of wine.

#247 - On 03/13/2009 at 6:38pm by beardsnbicycles7

@#244. Yeah. Because as long as you're in a public forum, judging someone you know nothing about is okay. Once again, I need an eye rolling emoticon. But I'm not going to have another huge discussion about this again. I've grown tired of repeating myself.

The comments on this are fucking stupid. Almost every teenager drinks at least occasionally. Two bottles of red wine is a lot, but almost everybody I know has been there at least once or twice. Having sex in a relationship is perfectly reasonable at 16. I know quite a few girls who were having sex with 25 year old guys when they were 14. It sucks getting caught, but I will say that she deserved it because you need to learn either to be open with your parents about those things or to not be so cavalier as to get caught.

#251 - On 03/13/2009 at 7:36pm by ninefuckedlives

kandy, what I'm trying to say is that I think teenagers these days are way too obsessed with growing up very fast. Teenagers have like at least 30 years more to have sex. Why start so early when most of the time you aren't ready? Yeah, sex is part of life, there's no way you can deny that. Most people do experience it in life, and that's natural. It just seems that people don't place as much weight on it as they should - sex is supposed to be the ultimate act of intimacy and confirmation of a relationship. That's why traditionally it only happens after marriage. I believe sex should carry a lot more commitment with it than it seems to do in today's society.

I'm just saying that I consider sex a meaningful enough act that I'm willing to wait until I'm in a truly mature, healthy relationship for it. And the reason why I think others should do the same is that it is almost demeaning to the act of sex that people do it so easily and quickly nowadays. The decision-making center of your brain isn't even fully developed until about age 21, so you're literally incapable of making rational decisions at age 16. If you really are in love with your boyfriend/girlfriend, why would it be so hard to wait until you know the relationship is actually going to last?

I'm not saying teenagers have to be totally perfect all the time. That's obviously not going to happen. But rules, legal or social, are usually there for a reason. And like it or not, adults are usually smarter than us when it comes to these things. Teenagers shouldn't go *too* far beyond the limits. Like I said before, there are some boundaries that you have to respect, sex being one of them. This concept is called responsibility.

Also, someone said before that you can't pick and choose when to be mature. I'd say that you can't pick and choose when to be RESPONSIBLE. yeah, I see what you're saying about it being ok to cut loose once in a while, act immature, maybe drink a little. But no. You can't stop being responsible, being able to control yourself, setting moral limits, or you're not responsible anymore. Sorry, it's part of the "growing up" package.

#252 - On 03/13/2009 at 7:43pm by cyxx

Also, I wanted to share part of a post from another FML where the thread was sort of on the same topic:

this is from "serious1y", a 21 year old woman in a serious relationship:

"i told my obgyn that i hadn't had any sexual partners. she was a beautiful younger lady. she did a double take, then looked at me intently and smiled "good for you!! My husband and I waited until we got married, and it is the best investment you could possibly make in your future. Wow!!" She was so excited she told half of the hallway when she made the rounds. I received half a dozen congratulations and "me too"s, and "it was the best thing I could've done for my marriage."

hang in there. it's hard, but in the end it's totally worth it."

I've heard many similar stories from people who waited. I just think it would be the best decision to wait until you're that committed emotionally, to commit yourself physically. I feel like it would make it so much more special, you know? I think that's what sex is all about.

#253 - On 03/13/2009 at 8:05pm by cyxx

I am dumb? You are obviously the dumb one because you apparently dropped out of elementary school. Or at the very least didn't pay attention in elementary school because you obviously have NO READING COMPREHENSION skills at all. Please point out where I said being rich solves ALL your problems? Oh you can't find it? That's because I never said that you freakin' dipshit. I said being rich offers MORE resources to you, which any brainless monkey can figure out, so you should be able to figure that out. But just incase that is too tough for you, I'll spell it out for you. More money=more things to spend on=more activities for you to do. WIth more available activities, that creates less incentive for kids to want to drink alcohol/have sex.

Since you obviously have no reading comprehension and or limited memory cells, let me recap what I said. I WAS NOT insulting the original poster. I was telling the truth.

I didn't compare those two. I was just pointing out how stupid the "well since the majority of kids do it, it's ok" arguement, but you are obviously too brain dead to understand that.

Oh, please refrain from overusing the question mark. Do I look cool?? How many question marks can I type in one question???? Three??? Twenty????????????????????

First off, let me say that this is NOT meant to be a personal attack; it's more of a critique on your debating style.

You caught my attention mainly due to your numerous posts. I'm guessing that you enjoy debate/critical thinking since you're playing devil's advocate. Anyway, I read a few of your posts and couldn't help but notice that a fair chunk of them were either opinion arguments or rather bold claims. Argument tip—the bolder the claim, the weaker the argument. You might want to check out some composition and critical thinking classes. I think you'd enjoy them. Composition helps communicate your thoughts while critical thinking bolsters them. :)

I hope this comment makes sense and doesn't come off as "I'm-an-internet-jerk-who-wants-to-pick-a-fight." Haha—after spending 10 hours at work whilst struggling with food poisoning, it is safe to say that I am exhausted. The likelihood of this comment being littered with typos is inversely proportional to the likelihood of its being even slightly eloquent. The latter—I'd say—is very, very low.

You're welcome, kandy.

#264 - On 03/13/2009 at 11:31pm by BigMick83

@252 and everyone else. I wasn't trying to start an argument AT ALL. All I was doing was defending the OP because people were unfairly judging her. I don't have any place to discuss the morals of someone else, or when they should have sex, or how meaningful it should be. So I'm not gonna go there.

#265 - On 03/14/2009 at 12:03am by kandy

@#263. Thanks for the tip. There isn't really any debate classes at the school I go to so I was planning on taking them in college. Which is probably why you think my argument style is less than stellar. Thanks, though. :]

also, two whole bottles of wine?? I bet you are going to have a blast when you're liver fails at 20... maybe 23

#267 - On 03/14/2009 at 12:06am by haro

That sounds like a good time, too bad your parents seem to be pretty creepy, hope they weren't having fun watching it. I drank when I was 16, it's legal in almost every country but the US, so whatever. That is a lot of wine though, you should probably seek some help for your problem. I second 267

well looking with hindsight... maybe a free sex tape isn't bad especially if the star is yourself

#269 - On 03/14/2009 at 12:10am by bakersdozen

@Kandy
No problem! Haha, I'm glad I didn't come off as a jerk. :)

I was lucky; I had dual enrollment as an option for my senior year of high school, so I was able to take college composition in the fall. It worked wonders! If that's an option, I'd definitely recommend it. And still, you have some very good points in your arguments. Haha, I'm just used to my old critical thinking professor. "Fuck feelings—give me facts."

#270 - On 03/14/2009 at 12:33am by puhffft

hmm flames and trolls everywhere....
funny about those wow comments seems ALL of you are playing ;P
please dont stop this amuses me.
besides, having have my country wave sex in my face telling me its a nasty horrible thing to do too early
and having the other half waving it in my face telling me its fun exciting and emotional and everyone's doing it. Well, just fuck it all, sex is for babies, thats what nature made it for, when I want a kid I'll have it. Meanwhile, I'll laugh at you all. I mean hell, we're all going to hell anyway. Might as well laugh at everyone I can form my handbasket

Hey ive had problems wit drinking too. my friend and i were sobering from being high and we didnt want to so i jacked some hard liquor from my parents and went to town. next thing i remember is waking up in my bathroom after passing out. it sucked.

#272 - On 03/14/2009 at 1:39am by bmxraver

#257 - Wow, I'm gonna have to break down that wall of text so I can thoroughly respond to it.

'alex_vik... your an idiot basically'
It's spelled "you're" hypocrite.
'you just have no idea whats going on in the world today'
Oh trust me, I do, I was in public school for eight and a half years, I had to get out of it and be homeschooled because I couldn't really bear to watch what this generation is.
'most of the shit your arrogant jerks are writing on here is MEAN'
Oh boo hoo, it's words on the internet, who really gives a crap?
'and jsut becaise i think that doesnt make me spineless'
If you can't take text someone you don't even know on the internet, I can't imagine how you'd react if someone actually spoke to you in person, or even on a phone.
'SOMEONE NEEDS TO THROW AN ERASER AT YOU! '
..where were you even going with this thought? If I did something wrong and got an eraser thrown at me, I'd just take it and move on with my life, and not do the wrong thing again.
'you are absolutely RIDICULOUS.'
Because I'm responsible?
'its not incredible wise shes drinking 2 bottles lying and having sex at 16'
Wow, you said something halfway intelligent.
'i also think the rich comments are really ignorant and stupid also.'
Rich people have great access to things that people not as fortunate like myself don't.
'stop thinking your all HIGH AND MIGHTY with all these "MORALS" '
Let me guess, you have none? And were the quotation marks really necessary? It's not like it's a word made up or without meaning you know..
'because guarentee you made that shit up just so you can sound cool.'
Yes, I'd lie about being responsible to look cool on the internet, that's quite logical.
'I AGREE with #255 you all need a night in the pool house together.'
..Again, where were either of you two going with that? You make it sound like we'd have gay sex or something. We'd probably have an intelligent discussion or something if we were to spend a night in the pool house.

It seems to me that there's a lot of unnecassary venom here.

I reject the use of the word "slut" and its various synonyms in general as being sexist, and perpetuating the terrible double standard that men being sexually promiscuous is more acceptable than women being sexually promiscuous. Leaving that aside, the word is entirely innapropriate here. This is not some "girls gone wild", getting drunk and hooking up with some random stranger (not that that's always wrong either) situation. He's her boyfriend. Couples have sex. Many of them have sex when they are drunk. "Here we are alone in this nice pool house, let's share some nice wine and have some nice sex" is not a particularly crazy train of thought, whether the couple is 16 or 26 or 46. You can argue that 16 is too young for this, but that's the way that the world goes round.

I'm 27. I know a lot of people who drank at age 16 (or 15, or 17, or 18) and a lot of people who had sex at similiar ages, and who went on to lead normal, happy lives and be productive members of society blah blah blah. I know a lot of people who did not do these things and also went on to lead normal happy lives etc (The absurdity of 21 as the minimum drinking age in the US is not a topic I will go into here).

Stealing is wrong. To me, stealing wine from the parents liquor cabinet is much less serious than, say, stealing it from the corner liqour store. It's still wrong, and also stupid in the sense that it's easy to notice that two bottles of your wine are missing. Lying about it is even more wrong and stupid. Checking the security video was an obvious step for mom to take, and she is quite correct in calling out her daughter on the lie. "Teenager steals alcahol from parents and gets caught" is a play that has been acted out many times, and life tends to go on.

One can argue that the OP is making a mountain out of a molehill, but then these things seem more important at 16 then they will 5 or 10 years later.

Ultimately, this is your basic, natural case of "parents set boundaries, teenagers test them". Most of my peers have several such happenings in their past, and many of these turn into great stories, which are good for endless retellings around many a friendly bonfire. OP has gained a great story for herself without doing any clear longterm harm. She will likely treasure this story for the rest of her life (once she "moves past it" a bit), and also the video tape of this evening will be priceless in helping rekindle the memories of this time in her life.

#227 - Some people like to do that so that if someone steals something they have a clue as to what they look like, proof of robbery, any clues at all that might be left, if she sees them while she's awake, you know, for things that security cameras are for?

#280 - On 03/14/2009 at 9:21am by alex_vik

oh! !! so bad!! i was caught directly on bed wid my girlfrnd!!!!!!!!!!!!!

#281 - On 03/14/2009 at 10:00am by lupilipid

Also:

"It was a video of me downing two bottles of red wine and having sex with my boyfriend" is not very clear. It could be more clearly written as:

1. "It was a video of me downing two bottles of red wine, and having sex with my boyfriend." I.E, girl drinks two bottles of red wine, guy drinks an unspecified amount of alcohal (perhaps none), than they have sex.

2. "It was a video of my boyfriend and I downing two bottles of red wine and having sex." I.E, girl and guy share the two bottles of wine (with guy possibly drinking more than half, as he is statistically likely to have a higher tolerance.

Many of the comments seem to be assuming meaning 1. It seems to me that 2 is more realistic, especially in terms of girl being concious enough to be an active participant in the sex. Additionally, in my experience people usually prefer to have a roughly equal level of drunkenness to the person they are sleeping with.

#282 - On 03/14/2009 at 11:20am by capnpaco

@ everyone who got involved in a huge debate, you may have a little to much pride, although it is fun to argue on the internet.

It was stupid to lie to your mum about drinking her wine, you shouldn't have done it in the first place but lying doesn't make it alright.

It would have been embarrassing to have your mum have seen what you did on video, but it didn't sound like you even got punished...

youre stupid for drinking your moms wine and having sex when your 16. im glad you were caught.

#315 - On 03/21/2009 at 10:19pm by BellaCullen

Wow. Poolhouse camera. Brilliant.

So let me get this straight - you have a pool and a poolhouse. You drink your mom's wine and have sex on her property. And she catches you. Sounds to me like life. And a good one at that. Count yourself lucky that you can do all those things, and deal with the consequences, like knowing your mom knows you lied. No sympathy here.

#321 - On 03/24/2009 at 9:55pm by allison3838

#321: So? That's a small price to pay for having sex AND having it on tape...

#322 - On 03/24/2009 at 10:00pm by watson

1) Lying is bad
2) It's not a very good idea to take 2 bottles of wine when it will be highly noticed (or if your mother is expecting to drink it later).
3) Having a security camera in a house (pool or not) is creepy and I'd be crazy pissed if my parents put one of those in our house, especially if it were my room where I need privacy.
4) A few people up there ^ are right... your mom was pretty cool about it. You may have gotten a nice long talk about it, but I gotta admit, how she came about it was clever. Cruel, but clever.
5) 16 is too young to be having sex OR drinking. It is legal in some countries, but they drink it in smaller amounts and more socially. A lot of Americans drink young to get plastered, which leads to addiction. In fact, we drink more on St. Patty's day than any other country. It's stupid...

Okay, like many people who posted before me, I am DISGUSTED at the amount of people who think that in order to have a life at age 16 you need to drink. IMO, the people who need alcohol to have fun at parties and just on the weekend are obviously so dull by themselves that they need some sort of illegal shit to have a good time. And that's just pathetic. I'm 16, have never drank in my life, and I can have the same sort of fun as people who do drink, *without* the hangover-what-the-fuck-did-I-do-last-night stuff.
Anyway, OP, congrats on being an idiot and not knowing that your parents have security cameras, or even shutting them off. :]

#331 - On 03/30/2009 at 11:27pm by CrissxCross

#311, red wine isn't really anything. Drinking is fun, just not daily.

And it's not all that bad, since your mom was able to crack a joke about it. Just be prepared for some kind of sex ed talk with your mom. Don't lie next time.

#344 - On 04/12/2009 at 11:03am by Vtlacey

I'd like to make a point that not every teenager is like kandy or OP.
I choose to not have sex at 16, which is how old I am, because I feel as though I'm not mature enough for it. I think that something like that should wait until I am older, simply because sex is supposed to be important. I think it's sad that so many teenagers throw it away like that.
I also choose not to drink. No, I don't think that it's horrible to drink a little bit at 16. But by a little bit, I mean like a tiny glass of champagne at new years with parents. Two bottle of wine, even between two people, is too much for a teenager. Obviously, the OP has had experience drinking, or they would have had a hard time drinking so much at once.
So I would consider this a YDI, because the OP was irresponsible enough to engage in underage drinking and underage sex, especially where there are cameras.
Also, drinking so much and having sex at such a young age, and then bragging about it online, just makes you look bad. No one's perfect, everyone makes mistakes, yes, I get all that. But I truly do not know people who would say that having sex at 14, as Kandy said, would be acceptable. It's just... stupid.

#345 - On 04/12/2009 at 8:58pm by midnightrain

oops, sorry, kandy.
i hadn't read all the way through your posts before i posted comment #345. You do seem very grounded and I applaud you for that, even if I do disagree with having sex during the teenage years. But it seems like I kind of attacked you above, and I didn't mean to.

#346 - On 04/12/2009 at 9:13pm by midnightrain

#351: Just stfu because you make yourself very stupid. YOU HAVE TO PUT TODAY IN FRONT OF IT. Otherwise it is not posted, even if it is good.

And those of you who are calling her a "rich slut" how do you know she is rich, or a slut.
This could be her first time, or second and only with her boyfriend. They could have been together for a while you don't know. But you have to have sex a lot to be a slut.

I'm gonna come out with it I drink, wine is NOTHING. So she didn't get "plastered" so I wouldn't even worry about that. You should wait until you are emotionally ready to have sex. But maybe she was, who knows? I really think people need to jump off their high horse just because you are on the internet.

You had to down 2 bottles of Red Wine to have Sex with your boyfriend... FYL

#355 - On 04/16/2009 at 3:23pm by islegend

#352 & #354: Just because the underage drinker who posted this doesn't have the ability to write the story from today's perspective, doesn't mean you should call out somebody who notices the inconsistency. You guys are both right; you have to have 'Today' at the beginning of the FML, but she could have written this accurately AND started with the word 'Today'. She could have said, "Today, my mother left a DVD next to my bed of me getting drunk and having sex with my boyfriend." That quote took me, a poorly educated 13-year-old, two seconds to write. That shouldn't be too much trouble for a 16-year-old with poor judgment.

Today: I asked my daughter if she had stolen a bottle of my wine, she replied with "nope" Later on that day I was going through the security cameras I have around the property when I came across footage of her drinking 2 bottles of my wine and having sex with her boyfriend, shes only 16...FML

#362 - On 04/24/2009 at 3:14pm by Fox01v

# 138 get over yourself and it shows your a liberal. If you have a camera or not at your house that doesn't say that your rich or you deserved it. If you think she deserved it cause she's "rich" then your really shallow. This is a site that's more like a blog and the fact your ripping on her when she just posted something that sux, get off that horse of yours.

#363 - On 04/24/2009 at 3:22pm by Fox01v

"Today, my mom came to me and asked if I had drank her wine. I'm 16, so I lied and said "no". The next morning there was a DVD on my bed labeled "pool house security cameras- love mom." It was a video of me downing two bottles of red wine and having sex with my boyfriend...I'm a guy...my parents now know I'm gay. FML"

#425 - On 10/26/2009 at 1:59pm by xclegend613

Ok seriously you people need to stop calling her a slut and immature. I'm 16, and I have gotten drunk before and no not at the same time but i have had sex. But you know what? I don't need that to have fun. I'm tired of people being like teens aren't mature enough and don't know how to handle being in that kind of situation. I'm in all honors classes at my high school, and I'm also finishing school a year early so I can study in another country. I am very responsible and I don't regret anthing I have done because even though I have been drinking underage I'm smart about it. And also. This girl I thought made a good choice by doing it in her pool house rather then some sketchy other place.

#373 - On 05/16/2009 at 9:39am by iad8107

Creepy that they have a video. But at least you had a good time. Pool house... Lots of wine, and sex. Sounds like a good night for a 16 year old.

#374 - On 05/16/2009 at 10:17pm by MajorTom85

haha... caught on camera! thats awesome, one thing all teenagers need to go through :P... but lying.... thats not...

#375 - On 05/18/2009 at 5:40am by Weezie

ouch. good luck with that girlfriend

#376 - On 05/19/2009 at 10:56pm by Luna_LoveIsGood

I'm sixteen so it's okay for me to lie and steal... You need to wake up, it's always wrong to lie and to steal... I mean there are certain situations where it might be justifiable like a man steals bread to feed his starving family is a classic example, but the way you come of as viewing it I think you needed to hear that... Being sixteen and wanting to 'have fun' is not a reason or excuse nor does it justify dishonesty and theft, no matter what age you are... You deserve it, next time be honest and if you're mom is chill you can ask her for the wine next time if you're comfortable with doing that to your young developing body, and try and be a bit more cautious of your surroundings and where you have sex in the future... Good luck earning your mother's trust back :)

#377 - On 05/20/2009 at 3:12pm by wrestler17

Well... calling it as I see it, that's what you get for lying. =) I wouldn't be surprised if she grounded you 'till kingdom come. I would.

#378 - On 05/20/2009 at 11:55pm by at0micmin3r

your Moms a champ.

#379 - On 05/21/2009 at 6:15pm by kyler121

I'm sure Momma had the most "fun" with this experience. I'm with you #37. Poor woman.

#380 - On 05/23/2009 at 5:10am by funkefan

oops. lol, i hope it was fun enough to be worth it. your mom has a good sense of humor. lying's a bad idea though, because i bet shed rather hear it out of your mouth than see it on a security camera.

#382 - On 06/02/2009 at 6:02pm by zredalert95

YDI for not only lying to your parents but drinking underaged and having sex with your boyfriend by your pool! Get a room for that!

#400 - On 06/18/2009 at 6:57pm by Rhianne

Your life could be worse. At least your mom was cool about it.
My parents didn't find out that I drink until about 3 years later the morning of my high school graduation because it was 5am and I had come home hammered at 3am. 2 years later, my mom STILL gives me crap about it.

#401 - On 06/21/2009 at 4:20pm by missphantasm

I am 16 also, but I haven't had sex nor have I drank two bottles of wine but I don't think that it is right for your mom to be invading your privacy like that. If I were to find out that my mom had a security camera and was watching me all the time, I would be pissed that she didn't trust me. On the other hand-you did lie to your mom, so maybe the camera wouldn't have been there in the first place if you were more trustworthy.

#402 - On 06/22/2009 at 2:27pm by s00perd0rk

ew. I bet ur mom watched the whole tho h too...lol, but wine is gross, shuda had something else hahaha

#418 - On 09/15/2009 at 2:19am by Jakkke

Security cameras = police states. You are not of age, but not under any dictatorship either. It was your choice, your mom could have locked her wine cabinet. FYL for security cameras. And remember, sex > WOW.

#421 - On 09/28/2009 at 1:28pm by xenomorph

Slrry, but being 16 doesn't give you an excuse to lie. Grow up.

#422 - On 10/06/2009 at 10:26pm by Bullshet

YDI for not being aware of your sorroundings

#423 - On 10/12/2009 at 1:11am by _20jre

you downed two bottles?!!! What a champ you are ready for college :D

#424 - On 10/26/2009 at 1:55pm by xclegend613

In England, drinking and having sex in your own home at 16 is actually legal (granted, the drinking has to be with permission, but the police couldn't care less!)... Only two bottles though? I agree with the above, sooooo ready for Freshers lol

#427 - On 11/11/2009 at 5:05pm by sophence

Gotta Love Europe - the rules are made to be broken (Y)

#428 - On 11/11/2009 at 5:07pm by sophence

Why's everyone giving a YDI? You're telling me you never lied to your parents? Bullshit.
OP, that sucks. Sorry that happened. Security cameras are a bitch alright...

#429 - On 11/26/2009 at 10:39am by Seb_or_Sam

#435 - On 12/29/2009 at 12:35am by bcbrowngirl

geeze.. lay off on OP. She was drunk so sex shouldnt really be a surprise since she was with her boyfriend. what is with all the high-and-mighty adults sayin they never did that when they were teens.. really i mean come on.. who hasnt lied to their parents.

#436 - On 01/01/2010 at 6:38pm by asianpuppy101

#437 - On 01/01/2010 at 10:47pm by gatorgrl1988

YDI for

1) lying to your mom about your illegal drinking
2) drinking two bottles of HER wine. Get a fucking job and buy your own when you're legal. Wine is expensive.

#438 - On 01/04/2010 at 10:31am by PhillyFox

#440 - On 01/31/2010 at 5:35pm by what_the_fail

What a fucking dick. Fucking your boyfriend makes you a slut HOW? -- Go learn some English before insulting a girl for being with her man.

Otherwise, yeah.. You deserve it, you're 16, your mother SHOULD understand that you're going to do stupid things. Tell the truth, take the punishment, move on.

#441 - On 02/05/2010 at 7:49pm by Sickphuq

hahaha YOU SUCK! you totally deserved that. 16? wtf! my school has a daycare for the students, and we still consider 16 year olds whores for that shit and im assuming the person above me is ALSO a 16 year old

#443 - On 02/17/2010 at 11:48pm by homicyd

way to go slutty mcdrunkslut

#444 - On 02/20/2010 at 3:41am by epitomeofshty

well shit that would suck big time.

#445 - On 02/22/2010 at 11:56pm by campbellshayla73

Okay so alot of people are saying shes a slut. The brain of a teenager and their hormones are wired for them to want to have sex so theres factor number 1. And number 2 everyone makes mistakes when their that age. A real slut is someone who sleeps with random guys, unprotected, and really doesn't give a shit about what happens to thier body. This girl sounds like many other teenagers to me.
