Today, I wanted to use my gift card for a liquor store. I went to pay the cashier, who said he needed to see my license. I gave it to him as well as my gift card. After paying, he asked me if I wanted him to cut it up, since the card was now worth $0. I said yes. He cut the wrong card. FML

#4: Actually, the cashier is required to hold the license in their hands and examine it closely to make sure it isn't counterfeit. Most licenses have a watermark that reflects when held the right way, this is why they are supposed to actually hold it in their hands. So, in short: shut up, you have no idea what you're saying.

As for the OP, sucks dude. I hope you're getting the cashier to pay for it!! :/
