#36 - What if the OP is a young teenager? I'd think it be better to get the urge to have strangely coloured hair now, then when they're older and trying to get a job and be professional. Wouldn't you? There's negative attention, sure, and then there's people being just plain rude. I keep my hair bright red/orange/copper/pink (and sometimes purple or blue or black streaks thrown in). I have three kids of my own. My youngest wants purple in hers next time I have mine done. People suck, but aren't surprising. I've been hearing the same stereotypes for almost 20 years now.

I've had pretty much ever color of the rainbow in my hair and I had a mohawk for a while. It sucks when people are ignorant and rude about it, but the cutest thing in the world is when little kids like your hair and point it out or ask you about it, and that makes it up for all the stupid rude people.

Blue hair is awesome! I've had green (when blue didn't work out), deep blue, pink (when red didn't work out), and (twice) red hair. Even had the red fade to an awesome orange! It's not about being "edgy" or anything, it's a personal expression. Nobody has hair that grows in a mohawk or any of the other hair styles; same thing as that.

And I've gotten all kinds of positive comments from people, especially kids and people at my work. At first I was amazed at how many people wanted to hear about how I dyed it, but now I consider it normal. :)
I love my red hair especially, feels more natural for my personality than my dark blond.

I had blue hair (and wasn't on drugs) and I just did it 'cause it was a nice change of pace. Hair colors like red, blond, black and brown get boring so don't judge someone just because they're not afraid to try something new.
