So you're sitting in a class that's supposed to be about the economies of individual firms and the like, but learning about economies on a large scale instead and no one could tell the difference? You deserve to fail.
It's the teachers fault dipshit
Macro and micro economics are two of the first classes you take in the economics program. So if you are just starting the program, how the **** are you supposed to know what the teacher should be teaching? Most people don't know a damned thing about economics, let alone what is considered 'small scale' or 'large scale'. This is completely the teacher's fault and the class should have gotten up and went to the dean instead of sitting the test. They still should.
Maybe you will tell me to shut up because I know nothing, but don't you have textbooks in America? If you do, a peek at an appropriate book would reveal the fatal mistake and would let you avoid the devastating consequences. Anyway, it's teacher's fault, and I feel for you all.
Text books are assigned by the teacher, sometimes after class has formally started. If he thought he was supposed to be teaching macroeconomics, he probably gave them the book list for macroeconomics. Or, he could be one of the assholes that teaches solely from lectures but still makes you buy close to a thousand dollars in books then tells you that you won't be using them. Because college teachers do that. A lot.
well, you could have still taken the macro ap exam and just not taken the micro ap exam. sorry to hear that OP, your teacher sucks
