(+2)My FIL lives in Kuwait, and from what I hear, they're not too big on pets over there as a general rule. That makes it an ever bigger FML, as shelters and potential other owners will be difficult to find. When my MIL was living there, she had quite a hike to the shelter where she volunteered. They've said there are a lot of feral dogs and cats, but then again, they're also huge animal lovers and prone to exaggeration, so who knows.

(+2)yea but also if you put 47 cats in one shelter most of them would probably get put down because not that many people go to a shelter...so you would have to spread them out through the shelters....@OP the best thing you could do would be find an old cat lady an give them ALL to her so the cats don't have to be separated. next best thing to do would be ask ALL friends and family that wouldn't be cruel to the cats to take some in so that the cats wouldn't be put down...

From what he's said, most of the people in the dumpy areas are actually immigrants from India or the Philippines. Besides, "third world" is a loosely-defined term that could just mean not a NATO nation and not formerly allied with the USSR.
I'm just hoping this commenter isn't an American who's ignorant about our history and assuming any nation not in North America or Europe is Third World. Yes, it's a stereotype, but it's sadly well-deserved.

(0)The problem is that because they don't have unlimited space, no-kill shelters have to limit the number of animals they will take in. Because OP has so many cats, he will either need to look into working with many no-kill shelters or find one that will take them all, but can only give them a certain amount of time to be adopted before they are euthanized.
