Ouch that sucks
Hopefully your Fiance will understand that you're feeling bad
Its a good thing you walk slowly down the aisle ;)
You deserved that one. Why plan the bachelor party the night before the wedding?
How come nobody came to your house ????
User poll: if this happened to you, would you go on the Internet to post about it?
#5 - On 04/03/2009 at 6:24am by plethora
Agree with #2.. that's why you do it the weekend before!!!
jeez dude.... how stupid can you be. you should be ashamed of you immature behaviour!!!
I hope she sayd no i won't marry you because you were still drunk.
pffff * walks away annoyed*
I agree with #2 and I've the same question as #3...
...do you still have a fiance or should you add that to your FML too?
WHAHAH!! I cannot imagine how arseholed were you!!! XD
#10 - On 04/03/2009 at 6:30am by Zic
heights of irresponsibility :| ..
if your not serious about your wedding day .. you would never be serious with your wife ..
pssst
Well you shouldnt be drinking if you cant handle your beer!!
And surely you should be sorting the mess out not thinking to yourself 'oooh, this will be fun to put in the internet!!'
#12 - On 04/03/2009 at 6:30am by Stupidpeople
this is just shameful. why would you post about it too!? your poor fiance...
How the F does that happen? Why didn't they go wake you up or something? Where was your best man? WHAAAAAT I don't get it. Nobody went looking for you??
Ditto #8

Lol! Funny, but YDI. Of course your friends are going to get you absolutely wankered if you have your bachelor party the night before the wedding. Thats just stupid.
Though I'm going to call BS on this one. No bride to be would be that stupid enough to let her man out the night before without either knowing where you are or making sure she has put the fear of god into the best man to bring the groom home safe.

In regards to ppl asking why no one was looking for him, it's plausible that ppl did come knocking at his door but he couldn't hear because of how hungover he was. He didn't even hear his phone ring 42 times
I don't know if I believe this one... No one came to get you? I'm sure if people were desperate enough, they would have gotten your fiancee, who probably has a key, to let them into your house...
If not, you seriously deserve this one.
if this is real, yfdi.
you don't do that stuff the night before the wedding!
This comment has been moderated.
Maybe the whole family and friends hate the bride and slipped some rohypnol into his drinks then told the bride he wasn't going to show?
yfdi.
plan your parties beeeeeeeeefore the wedding.
like a week before.
not the NIGHT before. :)
i hope she's really mad (Y)
To everyone that say's YDI, even if this is BS, it's still a legit FML.
There are plenty of people who have their Bachelor party the night before the wedding, that's the point, it's to celebrate the last night of freedom before marriage. But, it's the responsibility of the groom's friends to keep things under control so the wedding doesn't get ruined. For example, I've heard of people who had their head shaved the night before because their friends found it funny, eyebrows included!
By the sounds of it, he ended up somewhere unfamiliar. If the OP woke up next to another woman, it's definitely a YDI lol
Never plan a bachelor party the night before the wedding. Big mistake.
#26 - On 04/03/2009 at 7:24am by DeeJayD
um, i think SHE should be the one on here posting an FML. poor girl!!!!!!
that stinks.... why didn't your "friends" stay with you and made sure you are all right? So you missed your wedding?
This comment has been moderated.
"be a little more responsible..i know your "wife" wants you to be more like that..damn..
So you not only left your fiance at the altar, but now her side of the family probably thinks you're a drunkard and a bastard unfit to marry her.
Today, my fiance slept until 7:00 pm because he can't control himself on a night out. Today was my wedding day. FML.
Seriously, I understand that people do like to have the bachelor party the night before because it's their last night being single, but who in their right mind would want to get married hung over? And yes, while his friends should have been making sure he made it, you can't put all the responsibility on them. I hope she reconsidered marrying you, at least until you learn to be a bit more responsible.
first thing I said when I read this "holy shit."
Yeah, I don't believe this one for a minute. No way someone wouldn't have come to fetch you. Ridiculous.
ohhhh u poor thing i hope she can forgive u
if she doesnt than sing outside her door for hourse lol till she does hahaha
i really do hope she forgives u
keep us poseted i wana know wat happens next :)
wow, major hangover much?
... :(
sorry your wedding day got ruined, though

Why are people calling this fake? If he didn't hear 42 missed calls on his phone, then there's an excellent choice he didn't hear people at his door. And that's IF he even ended up at his house. You only get 300 characters in posting an FML, so there's not much room for elaboration. He might have woken up at a hotel or in a car somewhere. Also, all FMLs have to start with "today", so it's possible this actually happened a few days/weeks ago.
To the OP: you're an idiot, plain and simple. If you're going to go out the night before your wedding, have enough responsibility to know when to cut yourself off. Think about the message this sends to your fiancee, that she's not important enough for you to show up and not be hungover? Or even to show up at all? The night before your wedding is not the time to show off how cool you can be by pushing your limits.
Nobody bothered to come get you? How the hell did you sleep till 7pm? YDI for being irresponsible.
If I were the bride, I would have cut your nuts off with a rusty spoon. And then beaten you to death with them.
I am expecting an FML posting from your wife!!! Mr. Irresponsible!!
#16
yo Jimboom, what's up?
i couldn't have said it better myself. he should have known better.
I can understand sleeping till 7pm - I can do it without the alcohol. But dude, okay...on ur wedding day? Prolly not the best idea
why drink so much the day before your wedding? you know you'll have a helluva hangover then, you don't want that.. not really clever.
#47 - On 04/03/2009 at 8:23am by boer
@23: Maybe the bride's family hate him and THEY slipped rufies into his drink ;)

#42, The answer to life, the universe, and everything.
-Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy
Fuck me, there's a lot of high horses in here.
@ OP: If this is real, it must suck to be you right now.
I'm pretty sure I would have been pissed, but I would have laughed about it later, then never let my hudband forget.
What and idiot...why plan a party the night before your wedding..and you probably had many months, weeks, and days to plan this. You totally deserve this. Plus if that was me I wouldn't be posting this on here, I would be trying to explain to my "fiance" what happen and I didn't show up on my own wedding day.
Pssh..Shame on you. She should be the one posting on here.
Ooohh..I bet your "wife" wasn't too pleased with that. Your best man should have made sure that you were up and ready to go...so I believe this one is a phony. No bachelor party without a best man, and no good best man would leave you passed out drunk through your wedding...sorry
#40 - Obviously you don't have any friends/have never been involved in a bachelor party. Every single person there is on the lookout for the groom, to make sure they don't do something stupid. And that included making sure they get home.
There is 0% chance this is real. Nobody would have a bachelor party the night before the wedding, seeing as wedding stuff starts at about 8 a.m. and no bride would EVER, I REPEAT, EVER, allow that.
0% chance.
I know how you feel, have had the same thing but for important uni things and random nights out :O
where the hell was your best man??? it's his job to get you to the wedding...on time.
hahaha so im totally on your side..i mean fuck its not your fault you woke up at 7pm! your friends suck and should have woken you up.
You decided to get smashed the night before one of the most important days of your life, and you don't think you're retarded?
#59 - On 04/03/2009 at 9:02am by Broc
This can't be true unless you passed out in a location no one knows about. They would come and find you. If they wouldn't bother driving to find you, then you have a serious family problem.
wow I know i'm just repeating previous comments, but wow, it amazes me how stupid ppl get sometimes...
Don't blame him!

This reminds me of the show Scrubs... Except the character had a legit (semi) reason to miss his wedding,
who does that?
42 missed calls and no one bothers to come get you? and your bachelor party was the night before and no one bothered to stay with you?
I have trouble believing this one... if its true, its a pretty big screw-up.

55 you're very wrong. I've been a groomsman where we had the bachelor party the night before and the wedding wasn't until 5pm the next day so it was in the setting sun. There is absolutely no reason for the guys to start getting ready at 8am. Sure the bride does cause she's getting her nails and hair done, but the groom just needs to shower, shave and get dressed. That being said, what the hell is wrong with the best man? That's his job, throw a good bachelor party and make sure the groom makes it to his wedding in one piece.
Didn't happen unless you were getting married in Vegas without anyone knowing. Your buddies wouldn't have let you sleep alone if you were that wasted. Plus your wife would never let you have your bacelor party the day before.
Wow...guess your friends really care about you... -_-
if she takes u back, and you get married in a few days, please, whatever you do, don't have another drunken mistake like last night. YDI.

lmao...you just cemented your spot in the "big steaming pile of douche" hall of fame...congratu-fuckin-lations...
A) everyone else is fucking stupid for not trying harder than calling you on a phone to find you
B) your a fucking idiot, and should be trying to fix your careless issues instead of writing about them on fml..

Ok this is terrible.. BUT
the best FML I've ever seen lol
I really hope it works out for you (somehow) and THIS is why bachelor parties should be like a week before the wedding.. good luck making up with your fiance.. and your family.. and your friends.. and making back all the money you lost on the deposites.
Lol. Deserved it. I'm surprised no one else dropped by to wake you up.
God, if I were your bride-to-be I'd have kicked the door down and then kicked your ass. I wonder what you told the in-laws. That is, of course, if you still have any.
You deserved that.
Who the f*** plans their stag do the night before their wedding and drinks sht loads?
Common sense should tell you not to.

I don't think this one is fake. Shit happens, and like everyone said, he could've missed the doorbell as easily as he missed the phone, or he could've had his phone in his pocket but woken up in a dumpster somewhere. Yeah, it's stupid to get that wasted the night before your wedding, but there are a lot of stupid people in the world. That doesn't mean I'd forgive him as his fiancee, though.
Couple of things.
#1 Your Best man and Groomsman are assholes! It is there responsibility to get you up and get you to your wedding.
#2 Your Best man and Groomsman are assholes! (oh wait, I guess that is similar to #1) They should never EVER plan the bachelor party the night before the wedding. ALWAYS allow enough time to get bailed out of jail and/or sober up.
This comment has been moderated.
and i agree with 70's post. that is the best man's job. he has 3 jobs. hold the ring. throw the party. make sure the groom SHOWS UP.
You would think someone would have came looking for you?
i agree with 87 - it seems illogical that no one would come make sure you're awake or find out where you are - especially your best man who would have seen how drunk you were that night.
thats stupid. someone should have come to ur house to check on u
so does she still want to marry you?
oo if i was your fiancee i would be SOO upset, regaurdless.
biggest day of a girls life...
did no one honeslty come looking for you? its not like you were hiding under a rock.
you're actually a fucking idiot, and why did no one look for you?
this is why when you look at ANY wedding site/planner/rules of a wedding, they specifically tell you not to have your bachelor party the day before the wedding.
the 6 P's :
Proper
Planning
Prevents
Piss
Poor
Performance
why would you want to have a hangover for your wedding anyway? do you really not respect your fiance that much?
Thats why you have the bachelor party 2 nights before the wedding... any self-respecting guy who doesn't have an extra chromosome knows that.
I'm sorry this happened to you, Dude,
but if your fiance/wife doesn't kick your ass i will be very suprised!!
That was kind of a dick move on your part (planning your bachelor party for the night before the wedding).
Your friends can't be very good friends either if they left you like that.
What about your family?? Didn't they come check on you??
ANYONE???
#97 - On 04/03/2009 at 11:06am by Blaq
This person should definitely NOT be getting married -- clearly not ready for the responsibility/commitment/etc.
planning your bachelor party on the night before your wedding FTL
i'm getting the feeling you don't respect your fiance that much if you'd go to your wedding with a hang over.
it makes it worse knowing that your wedding was the NEXT DAY and you still drank that much.
if your fiance says no, i wouldn't be surprised.
Wow, after reading some of these comments...most of you have NEVER been to a bachelor party have you? First of all, the Groom has zero say when it comes to anything involving the party. Not dates, times, places, events, NOTHING. It is the sole responsibility of the best man to plan this stuff and should be smart enough to do it the week before to allow time for bail.
I agree with what someone above said.
If I were your fiance, I would drag your ass out of bed and beat the living hell out of you for leaving me at the altar like that, and for being too drunk to function.
As bad as I feel for you.. because I know the hell you are about to get (probably mostly from her side of hte family), you still deserved it.
#101 - On 04/03/2009 at 11:26am by simplethings7
i feel so bad for your fiancee if this is real... :/
if my fiance did this to me, I would be so depressed.
You're an idiot. Celebrating is one thing, but everyone knows their alcohol limits before they're sleep for 12 hours hangover drunk! And you should fire your best man.
That said, why is everyone complaining that he's posting this? Everyone keeps complaining that there haven't been any good FMLs lately and now you're bitching because someone posted a really good one?
This comment has been moderated.
If this is real - you are an a$$hole. You wasted a lot of your in-laws money on a wedding you were too stupid to get to. My husband and I went out drinking with friends the night before our wedding and both still made it to our 7pm ceremony looking good. You're obviously a puss and can't hold your alcohol.
I hope you're wife dumps your irresponsible butt.

Stop wasting time on this site and make it up to her. Or atleast bloody try.
#117 - On 04/03/2009 at 12:40pm by zap
What I find fishy is that a) he felt the need to post on here which shows this site is more important to him than his reality. and b) i dont know how many of you have been in a wedding before but this is kind of unbelievable. first... the groomsmen, fob (sometimes) and the grooms father would ALL have been together for the most part to get ready for the event. If he didn't answer the calls for THAT alone they would have been pounding on his door and would have even called the bride for the key OR talked to the hotel to get in his room, whereever he was... they would have woken him up.
And you may not SEE the bride if you go traditional but that doesnt mean you dont talk to them. A lot of hard work and planning goes into a wedding and a big part of that is the PRE-CEREMONY traditions (getting dressed, exchanging gifts, etc). Sorry. I just can't swallow this one!
quelover - not necessarily. the groomsmen don't always share a room....
if they are in a hotel some will stay at the hotel... if they live int he same neighborhood they go home and then meet up early the next day.
Also most people DONT plan their bachelor parties for the nigth before the wedding... Why?! BECAUSE... the rehearsal is that night... you go out with the wedding party... you do dinner... a lot of times the wedding party will then get together (men and women) and go out for a few drinks before retreating to your room or house to rest for the big day.
You're such an idiot. This is why you do bachelor parties at least a week before. It's impossible to enjoy a wedding when you're sick and hungover.

You deserve it 100%. I have never heard of a bachelor party the night before the wedding. If the best man planned this party you should have vetoed it and asked for another date.
#25 You need a better circle of friends. F UR L
Wow. Thats a fail and you're just not a very good fiance >
You completely deserved it...
I wouln't blame your fiance reffused to marry you, you fucked up the most important day of both your lives and left her standing at the alter, if you fucked up on the most important day how will she ever rely on you in the future? You screwed up badly and you will always regret it, I don't plan on getting wasted the night before my wedding, why do you want to get married with a hang over?
Good luck on life you idiot.
I think 126 summed it up nicely.
If this is true, you and your friends all deserve to die alone.
Please note: I'm not saying that you deserve to die because of this. I'm saying that because of this, when you die, you deserve to be alone. If your friends left you passed out drunk the night before your wedding and then didn't stop by your place when you didn't answer the first, say, 10 calls...they deserve the same.
Personally, I think this is BS...but I'm constantly surprised by the ability some people have to sink to lower and lower levels, so who knows? Maybe you and your friends really are a bunch of DBags.
#126: I agree completely.
HOLY. SHIT. What kind of an asshole a) has his bachelor party the night before his wedding, and b) drinks SO incredibly much that he blacks out for an entire day following, especially when he knew that said day was his wedding day, which took months to plan, cost thousands and thousands of dollars, and which should be an extremely important day for you? Sounds like you didn't want to get married at all and that the woman you were supposed to have married means less than nothing to you. I hope you paid for this at the very least, so that this poor girl and her family don't have that to deal with on top of the fact that you turned out to be a complete and utter asshole.
I feel far worse for the bride (well maybe ex bride now) than you! You need to have the crazy bachelor party a week before then the night before just go out for a few drinks and cigars (or something like that). You have a lot of people to apologize to aside from your girl...all the family and friends that came out and spend money and time. I dont envy what the next few weeks for you but you brought it upon yourself.
Also to the people saying its the groomsmens duty...well yes, to an extent. Although most bachelor parties Ive heard of entail the groomsmen getting far more fucked up than the groom because theyre too nervous about the upcoming wedding and dont want to do anything stupid to fuck it up. At the end of the day everyone has to be responsible for their own actions.
You need a new best man...
LOL
And NO ONE could come to your house to check up on you before assuming you ran away and weren't there?
That sucks..
I just hope that the bride got the chance to understand what happened before running away with ex-boyfriend/best man... =P
#132 - On 04/03/2009 at 1:23pm by braFTW
You deserved it.
Learn to hold your liquor or just don't drink if you can't.
Who has their bachelor/bachelorette party the night before the wedding? Did you never hear about what happened at those before you went to your own?
132 brings up a good point. Perhaps it was the best man who planned this whole thing because he was secretly in love with the bride. That is really the only situation that fits and explains the stupidity of having a bachelor party the night before the wedding.
Lies, I say. SOMEONE has to have knocked on your house, and if you didn't answer, knocked your door down. Forgetting the wedding for a second, something could've happened to you... and nobody cared enough to come to your house?
all aboard the FAIL train.
My BIL had his bachelor party the night before the wedding...of course their wedding started at 5pm the next day. He got drunk (as did my dh), but was up by noon, plently of time for wedding crap. That said, OP....IF this is true, what a dumbass you are. And your bride is an idiot if she let this happen.

I've been following the comments for a while, mostly just people shouting fake and idiot. Luckily people haven't given up on posting, otherwise we wouldn't have the theory of the conniving best man lol OP definitely had the mickey slipped to him ;)
Yeah, you're probably lying. Someone would have come looking for you. Either the bride, or her father (he'd be pissed). Not buying it.

Wow. That's what you get for having the bachelor party the night before the wedding!
I would be so pissed if I was your fiance.
Nobody came to wake your sorry ass?
I seriously hope this is fake. I'm surprised no one came to wake you up.
Wow...you got yourself so drunk that you missed your own wedding? I hope she dumps you.
ASSHOLE. how could you be so thoughtless?
Major fail. I'd dump you over this one.

I refuse to believe this because I don't think anyone would let you sleep through your wedding day. In fact, if your fiance didn't hear from you after 42 calls, I'd expect that there would be a police search being conducted.
a) Your bad
b) Why did no one come get you?
There are so many questions.
i completely agree with #2 and #5. First of all, what idiot plans a bachelor party the night before their wedding? Second of all, why on earth would you be online when something this bad happened to you? You miss your wedding and post it on FML? really?? I sorta dont believe this but if it is true then your an idiot and FYL and YDI.
i hope you rented the tux..
I'm calling BS. If you would've been called 42 times then I assume at least 42 people would have come looking for you. Get a life.
haa, I'm pretty sure that:
1. your parents, or best man, or groomsmen, or HER parents, actually probably just your bride, would've tried WAY harder to get your drunk ass up.
2. NO smart man would have had the bachelor party the night before the wedding... dumb
3. NO GOOD fiance would have gotten piss drunk the night before the wedding knowing he has to be up early for the wedding.
so if this is true:
you have terrible friends, & obviously your bride or in-laws-to-be didn't care enough about you to try & get you to the alter.
Also, you probably broke your brides heart & humiliated her in front of everybody.
If she really loves you then she will give you another chance...
but honestly, what you did was kind of a frat guy move.
so it's completely your fault...
Did you still get married?
Nice save! Man, she almost got you.
#40 FTW.
nice going, champ. You'll be lucky if you still have a fiance after pulling a stunt like that. If I were her, I'd dump your ass. That was probably one of the most selfish things you could ever do. Way to show her how little she actually means to you.
If you get a second chance, I'll be amazed.
you sir are a moron. that or a liar.
Hmm..
This seems fraudulent, but on the off chance that it isn't, I hope your fiancée dumps you.
maybe this is one of these things that make ur wedding all the more special and fun to tell ur kids!
I hope you paid for the wedding yourself.
My heart stopped for a second after reading that.
OMFG :O
like no one came to see if your were at home or someting ?!
woow that sucks.
