Today, my fiancé's mother gave me a beautiful cross necklace to wear for my wedding. I'm Jewish. FML

maybe it was a (bad) mistake? or maybe she didn't intend the cross to mean anything, just looks nice?

Jewish people can't wear cross necklaces?

They don't believe the saviour (Like Christian Jesus) has come.

Well, she crossed you, that's for sure.

I'm sure you will go up in flames if you wear it ... If you are marrying a christian man, why even get all worked up about such minor details?

I don't think OP is "worked up". She did describe the necklace as "beautiful" after all. But it is kind of embarrassing (for lack of a better word) to have your future in-law not know your religious beliefs. :)

I saw that. But posting that here as an FML kind of suggests that she's upset about it. Maybe mom in law has an agenda. If OP is marrying a christian man, maybe mom in law was doing that, to welcome her into the family and community. The FML tells me OP's not willing to integrate.

Well your people killed Jesus so wearing the necklace will be a way to say that you are sorry for you ancestors.

Show it anyway

You should wear it to show that you are sorry for your ancestors' sin.
