Catfished

Today, I discovered that the man I have been talking to on a dating site is actually my ex-boyfriend. He created a fake profile and made me fall for someone that doesn't exist. We got on better anonymously than we ever did in 3 years together. FML

what exactly did he think he'd achieve from this? It's pretty obvious that you'd find out who it actually was at some point

He seems like a douchebag. Did he have any intentions of getting back together or was this just for 'fun'?

What a ******* jerk, that is so low...I'm so sorry you had to experience that :/

I have to agree, hes a ******* jerk OP. Don't let the fact that you guys got along so well on line sway you into giving him another chance. Any guy can be perfect on line, when he has time to craft his responses and already knows your likes and dislikes. Its cheating.

I think he did it because he's still hung up on her and thought he might win her back.

Do the same to the ******, but don't do it too soon or he'll know it was you.

Petty revenge by a shallow insecure person. Making someone fall for you and then ripping their heart is just a way to get back at them.

This is why they got shows like Catfish.

This guy really needs a life! Careful you might have your very own stalker. Sorry Op!

Your ex-boyfriend is an ex-ceptionally horrible person.

He was obviously an ex for a reason. It's too bad he had to upgrade to asshole status after it was over.
