Today, while brushing my teeth my 5 year old son walks into the bathroom. He gave me a mean look and said, "That Sammy's toothbrush, not yours." I have been brushing my teeth with the dog's toothbrush for two months now. FML

Anyway, the purpose of toothpaste is to eliminate germs. So unless you don't use any (in which you'd have problems beyond brushing behind the dog), you shouldn't really care.

Also, for all the people saying a dog's mouth is cleaner than our own... yes, it is true that a dog's mouth has fewer germs, making it "cleaner." HOWEVER the germs that are in our own mouth are harmless to us, while the germs that are in a dog's mouth can make a human sick.

Has it occurred to ANYONE that the son might have been using HER toothbrush on the dog? What adult would keep a dog toothbrush next to their own toothbrush in the bathroom (think bristles touching each other and all of that)
