Today, I sent a scathing e-mail to my daughter's teacher and principal because she told me the teacher publicly embarrassed her by announcing to the class she had summer school. Turns out she lied for no reason at all, she doesn't even have summer school.

Kids can be manipulative liars sometimes, often I find people don't give them enough credit, they're a lot smarter than you think. It's best to check all the facts and investigate their story before tearing someone out based on only their word. She might just not like that teacher and said those things just to get them in trouble.

It's not really jumping to conclusions if the story was all laid out for her. The only thing she did was listen to what her daughter told her!

Maybe next time you'll check twice before jumping to conclusions. Karma at work.

Make her go to summer school as a punishment for lying.

why do parents always start with scathing emails in their child's defense? why not respectfully inquire to the teacher what happened and if disrespected at that point send a respectful message to the principal explaining the situation.. you get more flies with honey.
