Today, I went to the Verizon because my phone was broken. It hadn't rang in 3 weeks. I hadn't gotten any text messages either. So, I got to the store they check out my phone. They told me that there was absolutely nothing wrong with my phone. No one had called me in 3 weeks. Then they charged me $30. FML

Ummmm... first thing you'd have done is tried to use your home phone or someone's home phone (if you only have a cell) to call you OR texted yourself to see if it worked... and you'd have tried that way before three weeks, AND you'd have called tech support before going into the store and potentially making a fool of yourself... It does happen that texts don't go through, and I've had it happen (got dozens at once when they finally got it working), but it didn't even cross my mind that a store would be able to help any more than tech support... I'd tend to call shenanigans unless the op is like 80 years old and thinks a phone is a magic box that only the wizards of the shop can repair...
I bet they lied to you, I bet there WAS something wrong with your phone. And then we will be reading about how you got conned out of 50,000 now.

Well a phone works both ways. The more I send, the more I get, not necessarily from the same people.
uhm, they totally didn't charge you $30, nice try though. I had verizon for seven years, and every time that I took a phone in for troubleshooting, they fixed the problem without charge. Even when I was switching out phones in the middle of a contract, all they did was turn off one phone and turn on another, no charge at all. So, unless they gave you their $30 stupidity tax, that money is still in your pocket.
