Today, I'm at home sick and someone is moving into the apartment above ours. Judging by the sounds and level of noise, they seem to be opening some sort of woodworking shop. FML

Today, and the 4 months preceding it, my neighbors had been remodeling their house, which meant jackhammer noises every morning. The one day they take a break, my other neighbor decides to start a remodeling project. It'll only be two more months of this. FML

Today, and for the past two weeks, the people living directly above me have decided to add rearranging their furniture to their daily routines. Not only that but apparently, 6 a.m. is the most optimal time for them. FML

Today, it's the third day I've been at home recuperating from ear surgery. My surgery was on the same day my neighbor started renovating. There's been hours of jack-hammering every day I've been home. FML

Neighbours from hell

Today, my new neighbours moved in. I've neither seen nor spoken to them yet; all I know is that they enjoy hammering at the walls for hours on end and repeatedly setting off the fire alarm. All this in the small hours of the morning. I got two hours of sleep. FML

Today, I learned that the gong my job installed less than 30 feet from my desk is being moved, due to noise complaints. To the office building I'm moving to in a few weeks. FML

Today, I found out my upstairs neighbors filed a noise complaint against me for banging on the ceiling every night. They conveniently left out the part where they constantly stomp, shout, and do stuff that sounds like they're dropping bricks to the floor every night. FML

between 11 and 7 they have to be quiet, else you can ask them to quiet down, but if you got same type of neighbours as I do who blas music all day and ignoring your complaints (got homeoffice) you just have to either talk to the land lord or just try to ignore it.. Sorry op! Feel better!

I feel your pain...I had a neighbor who didn't have a job and blasted lady gaga all day at full volume even when she was sleeping, or not even at home. I complained so much the landlord eventually moved me to another apartment.

They are moving in. What are they supposed to do, leave the bed and furniture disassembled and the boxes unpacked until the OP feels better? They can't really do anything for him, and all he achieves by making an unreasonable request is to annoy his new neighbors.

It'd be kinda cool if you gave them a sampled drum beat, turned it up to the exact level of their commotion, and told them to work to the rhythm. That might at least make it a little easier to stand.
