Today, after almost a week of being bed-ridden with a bad flu, my mom told me it was my job to clean the house. When I told her I still had a fever and didn't feel well, she looked at me and said in an understanding voice "It's okay honey, you can do it slowly." FML

C'mon, slack-ass! You've been a parasite to your family for a week, it's about time you do a little work. She IS allowing it to be done slowly -- that woman is a saint!

if you've been in bed for a week, ure actually making it worse by staying in bed. you actually have to get up and do stuff if you want to get better - no joke. that doesn't mean scrubbing the floor with a toothbrush, but it's a good idea to walk around, get the mail, do the dishes, sweep the floor.. something light. u have to fight the sickness or you just keep feeling worse

Actually op it'll do you good if you move a lot. You'll make it worse if you just stay on the bed. Do what your mom said just do it slowly. You're doing your chores and exercising at the same time. =D

Boo freakin hoo. Suck it up. I know I sound like an insensetive jerk but, that cause I am. I have no sympathy for crybabies that want people to feel bad for them, just becase they had to clean their house while they felt a little under the weather. Try tearing out a fence, then putting it back in while it's 100+ degrees out, while haveing to dig a hole that's 5 1/2 feet deep by 2 1/2 feet across in clay, with post hole diggers for a corner post. then we'll talk.

lmao that's what my mom does all the time. did you try crying and saying "mommy why is god punishing me like this. I haven't done anything wrong so why is he torturing me?" that got me chill time and when I got better I got thirty bucks in my pocket to "enjoy being a healthy teenager."
