Today, I traveled through a winter storm to NYC. After a miserable interview, I got in my car and drove only 200 feet before being pulled over and ticketed for momentarily picking up my GPS. Today's total: 5 points, $150, no new job, and 6 hours of driving in a Nor'easter. FML

I would say it gets better, but this site shows that sometimes it does not.

Why didn't you set the GPS starting to drive?

I suspect that OP set the GPS, put it on her dash, and it fell when she began driving. My boyfriend has the same problem with his phone holder--the clamps don't hold the phone well, and his phone keeps falling. And I suppose OP drove because train service was suspended up and down the I-95 corridor.

I will never live in neither New York City or Los Angeles, they are always getting destroyed in every disaster movie.

According to the missing verse by Frank Sinatra, “If you can’t make it there, you can make it somewhere else! That’s what you say, New York, New York!”

The real question that would decide if this is a FML or not is: Why did you pick up the GPS?
