Today, I had to call out of work due to my house flooding. As if that wasn't bad enough, my boss promptly accused me of lying because "the others from your town made it in today." I didn't realize we all lived together. FML

Your boss sounds like the type to say if a monkey can climb a tree then a fish can climb a tree if it tired. I guess he doesn't realize not everyone is the same or goes through the same situations.

He probably assumed that you meant your house flooded due to flooding in your area, but my guess is that a pipe burst or something? I'm sure he'll understand if you explain.
