Today, despite meditating, cutting out sugar, exercising during the day, turning off all electronics after 10 pm, and taking melatonin, I still could not fall asleep. Meanwhile, my roommate, who stays on her computer all day and brings her phone into bed, slept like a baby. FML

That’s life’s way of saying “You think you’re in control but really, you’re on rollercoaster that’ll end in death, sooner or later...”

It’s because you’re trying to hard to get to sleep. Just put on some ambient music and think of nothing

Have you looked into CBTi? I've had insomnia since birth and after seeing a specialist I started that and it really helped me a lot.

Maybe you should stop thinking about how well someone else sleeps...

Go to YouTube and type in asmr. It's kind of a weird genre of YouTube videos but its super popular and helps a lot of people fall asleep. Who know? It might be helpful to you too.

Start working early mornings. Even if you have trouble getting to sleep now, your body will get used to the schedule.
