I've always had a problem waking up to the sound of a beeping/buzzing alarm clock. What worked for me was setting the alarm clock, which I place on the other side of the room, to radio, and setting the alarm on my phone to a really annoying song. Two different songs playing at the same time screws with my brain or something and I wake up every time to turn that nonsense off!
