Today, after almost a year of working two jobs, I managed to save up $2,000. I decided to treat myself to a week in Japan, but while walking to the Japanese Embassy to exchange my dollars for yen, I got robbed at gunpoint. I had the money in cash. FML

Anytime I travel, I put my money and important cards and what not in a small bag and stick it in my boot or along my bra strap so if I get robbed, they will get a wallet with nothing but business cards and maybe $5. This doesn't surprise me I sure this happens all the time. Locals know you exchange your money at the embassy so the just watch people and Rob them if they have nice stuff. Sometimes they get lucky with cash. This is why I rarely carry more then $20 at a time.
