My thoughts exactly. People don't typically just assume you are dating, unless they are real psychos. Also, he couldn't have just pulled your number from thin air. He got it from either you or a friend. Unless he really is psychotic, I'd assume you're fishing for compliments at the expense of others, and that just isn't right no matter how you look at it.

THAT HAPPENED TO ME! He said he loved me and we weren't even dating and then 2 days later he said we wouldn't work out. Later, I found out it was the genius work of my ex. FML

I did this to a guy once. He had just gotten through txtng me how hard it was to get the guts to ask me for my number. I told him I hated him, felt sorry for him, and it wasn't gonna work out, so h should just delete my number :) he cried tho next time I saw him :(
