Uh...really. I'm sorry, but anyone who says "she was just trying to help" needs his or her head examined. It's pretty obvious she didn't get any course in emergency response and just tried to reproduce something she'd seen on TV. People like her really need to die. Yes I said it. Would you try to cook a pufferfish if you didn't know to? No? Then this lady should not have done this. PLUS, if it's a store, there's almost certainly someone around who knows the correct thing to do, and she should have raised the alarm. I HATE people like her who just pick something up on TV or the movies and try to do it. I mean seriously would you do a surgery? You definitely wouldn't.

In conclusion, sue just sue. Don't worry about it being the "American way" or you coming off as a dick. She's by far the bigger dick.
