You were more than 5000 to take part in our fantastic Xmas competition, and finally over a thousand to find the 10 FMLs from the book which were hidden all around the website. Thanks to all of you for taking part!

Find the 10 FMLs that were published in the fmylife book by hunting for them amongst the website’s pages, and win one of the fmylife books up for grabs.

Before explaining the rules, your mouse can already start hating us because it’s going to have to go into overdrive. Quotes from the book’s FMLs are hidden in the pages of Fmylife, and you’re going to have to find them.

Step 1: Sign up on FML and log in. This is mandatory if you want to take part in the competition. Click here to create an account. Everyone can enter the competition. No matter where you live or how old you are.
Step 2: Find the link called "FML Competition" in your member's panel on the right hand side of the site.
Step 3: Click on it (yeah OK, seems obvious, but you never know with some people).
Step 4: Follow the instructions to start the hunt. None of the members will have the quotes in the same place. To find them, use the page numbers at the bottom of the home page and… click away (and you can then start hating us). The quotes will only be in the website’s archives, nowhere else. There’s thus no point going into the Top, the Flop, the Random FMLs… All you have to do is go and look in the previous pages. Once you’ve found one of the texts, a link will allow you to update your participation.

This is how a hidden quote will look like (the size has been reduced a little voluntarily):

On the 20th of december at midnight, the competition will end. All the people who’ve found the 10 quotes will then be part of a draw, which will select the 20 winners, who will get a copy of the book. The results will be announced on the 21st. Good luck, and happy clicking to all!

The “pull your nuttiest face” competition ended a couple of days ago, and we have to admit that we had a great time validating all of your photos. 122 confirmed participants fighting over an iPod, personalized FML books, Spreadshirt t-shirts and M&M’s, you have to admit that this is quite unheard of! All the votes are now in, and except for a few sneaky people who tried to cheat and were eradicated with a nuclear powered grenade launcher, everything went smoothly.

   

Here are the prizes, as well as examples of the personalized edition and t-shirts.

Due to popular demand from a lot of you wonderful people, the competition is now open to people from all over the world, with easier rules.
All you need to do is get a picture taken of you with the FMyLife book* (you can print a picture of the book cover, no need to buy the book to take part in the contest, but no Photoshop or other magic tricks, you must be holding the book cover). However, the thing you must do is pull the nuttiest face possible, the craziest face you can muster in the situation of your choice. Your photo will be published on the website (http://www.fmylife.com/contest/book), and the other users will vote for it (or not!). Go nuts in the picture, have loads of fun!

We've taken some ourselves, to give some examples, all the while telling you that to win, you'll have to do way better, the crazier the situation, set up and picture quality, the better your chances!

The competition will last for 28 days, from the 21st of June to the 23rd of July. You thus have until the 16th of July to upload your picture, so get cracking straight away.

Your photo will be displayed on the website for 7 days, so that all the uploaded photos get the same chances to be voted for. Once the 7 days are up, the photo will stay displayed on the competition page, but you won't be able to vote on it, to guarantee equal chances to all.
