I love the book...it made me laugh so damn hard. And to those who think they'll be rereading...i've checked the site every day for the last 6 months, and though ive seen a few, they're are lots of goodies i havent had the chance to experience. GO buy it right now.

Slightmisshap (#27), I'm happy to hear that! While selecting the FMLs to go into the book I also discovered some new ones that made me laugh, or old ones that I'd forgotten.
I have a got a couple of awesome ideas for your website.
Depends on the budget you guys run your website on;
First, why dont you give people the option to record their fmls stories
Like we could just record our voice saying the story of an fml over 30 seconds., and people on the site should be allowed to download the audio clip. Maybe even save it on an ipod? maybe you could maybe exculisve memberships for allowing people to get a downloadable version of the audio clips. so people can laugh their ass of in buses and what not.
Listening to an audio clip would be a lot better than reading a statement.
For your book. every day SAve HALF of the best fmls for the book.
You would make alot more sales.
With the iphones going around... with internet access.. no one needs a book that has the same fmls as a website anyway

Even so, it's strange how people find it ok to say to a stranger who adds a story to the website that he's a dumbass or to go fuck himself, but having a picture of a red panda on a banner is crossing the line.
Yeah, act superior, Frans. That always works. I think it's very immature to say things like, "I'm sorry that you don't find it amuzing and that you won't buy the book, but after all the final decision is up to us." Fine, then. If you don't care about your customers, they don't care about you. Now we all hate each other. Do you see why this is such a bad decision?
Maybe instead of dismissing us by making excuses, you should consider the problem. The ad is very upsetting to a lot of people, and anyone with experience could tell you that when a lot of people are upset, you should at least try to listen to them.

Because most AIDS jokes are actually offensive to people who did nothing to deserve their disease. Everyone with a fucking brain knows that these people aren't ACTUALLY going to kick small animals in the face and even if they intended to it would be pretty hard to get their hands on a real red panda.
Now this little conversation has inspired me to go beat my dog over the head with a rock for a little while since the FML people clearly said it was ok to kick a panda it must be alright!

a LOT of people are upset? WHERE? Out of the millions of visitors we get here everyday, who come here for a laugh and a giggle, and they get tone of the website . Here, where we abide by the rules that say you can find the humour in anything, but you can't share the laughter with everyone, you have to be open minded. Where's all these so called upset people then? Hiding under a table crying until "the bad man gives the panda a carrot or something" There's maybe 5 people who are offended by a picture. Have you not visited this website before? You know what we're like, we like a giggle, and by the way, it's an endangered species yeah? Does that mean that if we'd put a picture of German Shepard smoking a cigar or a Pigeon in track suit, that would've changed your mind? Some people really do miss the point... It's funny how people whine and bitch and cry about a panda being kicked in the face (as a joke), but when people make jokes that really hurt others, it's somehow funny.
