HAPPY NEW YEAR! It's been such a long time, we're not even sure how to write articles any more. How do you even interview artists anyway? Are you supposed to ask them about their sexuality and stuff? And what are you guys supposed to do? Oh right, read, like, and comment on this article, okay, that sounds fun. Let's do it then.
-Who are you Celine Choo? How old are you?
-Where do you live?
-Currently in Singapore/ London
-What do you do for a living?
-I have a day job, which is semi related to art and I freelance part time while looking for another job that is closer to what I’d like to be doing.
-What's your story?
-I graduated with a BA in Illustration over in the UK. I moved over to Singapore to gain experience/look for work/eat delicious food. I plan to move back next year and get a cat.
-What are your projects?
-The goal is to self publish my own storybook or art book this year. I have a few freelance projects going on from a recent convention. Currently, the main project for me is updating my portfolio and gear it towards the animation/games industry.
-Can you tell us about your blog/website?
-A lot of my favourite artists I’ve found are through blogspot, so I feel it were only natural to start one up. I’m extremely glad I did as I’ve met a lot of talented people through it! I’ve been meaning to redo a proper website of my own but projects and work keep getting in the way!
-What inspires you (artists, movies, etc..)?
-Oh the art of Pixar/Disney/Dreamworks/Ghibli. Light-hearted movies, in particular Amelie. French and European art/animation. My favourite artists and general life experiences!
-What makes you laugh the most?
-Really stupid internet memes and youtube fail videos. My boyfriend makes me laugh a lot. And FML of course!
-Why did you choose this FML?
-I thought it was particularly amusing and the image sort of popped into my head as soon as I’d read it.
-Do you have your own FML anecdote that you can share us?
-Today, while my dad was dropping me off at the airport, my brother came along. While getting out the car, I decided to come out the same side as him. He did not realise this until he heard me yell as he closed the car door on my leg. I had a slight limp for the rest of my trip. FML
