The FML ticket

Goodmorning FML audience! It's great to have you back on this beautiful and shiny illustrated FML saturday. You enjoyed today's comic and you thought "who's that amazing artist who made me laugh today?" well, don't go anywhere, because here's her interview.

-Hello! First of all introduce yourself to the world. What's your name and surname?

-I'm a bit confused, because I'm Chinese born in Indonesia, so I'm thinking about what name I should give. I think I prefer my Chinese name, the one I usually use, so my name is Xing Ying, my surname is Chen.

-Why do you have two names?
-My official name is Noni, it's the Indonesia name written in my identity card... but since I'm Chinese born, my Mom gave me a Chinese name.

-How old are you?
-I'm going to be 30 this year.

-So you're living in China?
-Nope, I'm living in Indonesia, Jakarta for exact, the capital city.

-How's life over there?
-Errr... hot, crowded, polluted, the traffic is always jammed.

-What do you do for a living?
-Well, I'm a freelance designer, I accept various work from design to illustration. I also teach a 3D course.

-What are your professional projects?
-Hmm, I don't know if it counts as a professional one since I alway consider myself as an amateur. I'm still a baby bird but I've done illustrations for children books for my local publisher, it will be published in the near future, and I'm working on online games currently with my partner on Fay Folio.

-Why did you choose to do an FML illustration?
-Because it's fun... the stories there really interest me, I'm enjoy it and it lift up my mood, so when you offer me to do the illustration, I thought "why not?"... and as I expected, I really enjoyed doing the illustration.

-Did you experienced a "FML moment" yourself?
-Perhaps this one... when my computer exploded recently, it ended that the hard-disk was broken and I lost all of my art I'd done over the past 9 years, and I didn't have any single backup. I think I got "you deserved it" for this one, .it's my fault for not backing it up.

-It's surely time to invest in an external hard-drive? I think so.
-Yes, surely is. I'm still saving up to pay the recovery data fee, it's really expensive.

-Well, that's a real FML. Thank you very much for taking part!
