Today, while I was getting ready to take a shower, I placed my phone on the counter next to the toilet. While I was washing my hair, someone called me. My phone was on vibrate, so I didn't hear it until it vibrated off the counter and into the toilet. FML

I did that once before and ive dropped my phone into kool aid it didnt turn out to well

Once I found out how many germs and bacteria get spread through a flushed toilet, I started to make sure the lid remains down and my toothbrush is kept in the cupboard. But FYL I've had wandering vibrating phones also but mine ended up on the floor instead.

Oh come on Island, you're on so many lists already, let us have this one! I agree with that list as well, but I think if I was to make one of my own, it would be quite huge. There's some idiots here but there's also some very intelligent and downright legendary folks - including all the ones from a while back during snickerdoodles' reign. I wish I had made an account sooner!

You should really close the lid. For that reason, and the fact that when you don't close the lid, any particles in the toilet fly up out of it and float around your bathroom. Honestly, you might as well be brushing your teeth with fecal water. Gross.
