There is a thing in the cooking world called butter sauce. So I guess they could be talking about that.

Melted isn't its usual form. It generally comes as a stick of butter, a solid rectangle.

but the butter always melts when i put it on my waffles or whatever im eating, so its normal for it to be in that melted form whenever im eating it.
