Today, my son called from college to tell me a classmate jumped from a third story window onto a concrete patio (he survived, thank God), and he was the one that found him and held him till help arrived. He is traumatized and coming home, and I have absolutely no idea what to say to help him. FML

Today, I started to make a protein shake to have a healthy breakfast. It exploded. Turns out, my mom lost the rubber gasket and put the blender back, so it looked ready to use. By the time I cleaned it all up, it was time for me to leave for work. I'm now eating chips from the vending machine. FML

Today, I received a list of employee names who were losing their jobs and I had to remove them from the system as I work for IT. I was on the list. That's right. My last responsibility as an employee was removing myself from the system for security reasons. FML
