Today, my roommate told me that she was studying in the library. Turns out, she didn't feel like going to the library and just spent all afternoon studying in a friend's room because she didn't think I was capable of shutting up for long enough to get any work done. Our other friends agreed. FML

YDI. If people are working let them be. Interrupt them only to offer a hot beverage not more than once an hour.

Here is a Simple Plan to avoid such situations. When you see someone's bussy don't talk to them. I mean if one person thinks something it's their problem, but when more agree you are the problem

You know, this is one of those times where you can learn a really valuable lesson. I experienced something similar, except it was work related. I didn't take things seriously enough, so no one wanted to work with me (it was school, I was 14, but I remember it to this day). Let yourself learn the lesson.

This should be a wake-up call. ...but it won't be. Noisy people are like people with bad B.O. They can't even hear their own noise.

Why's that a FML for you? Maybe she's just not confrontational and didn't want to hurt your feelings by telling you to STFU since you obviously can't take a hint? Just apologize and reflect on your behaviour so you can be more considerate in the future. Or maybe she just needs a really quiet space to study and focus, no need for hard feelings I guess.

Well if people are studying and you keep interrupting them, then I don't blame them for not wanting to be around you. YDI
