Today, my parents finally took me driving after months of me having my permit. I got yelled at for asking questions. I only needed to know which way they wanted me to turn on the next street after they told me to turn, but not which way. FML

You've had your permit for months and you're STILL not able to read minds? That's concerning, OP.

So I go left, right? Right. Wait go right? No left! Awww shucks we missed it. That happened my first time out.

I feel you except in not my turning it when i should slow down I have my permit for a year in half and they keep yelling at me to slow down and so I can stop in time but I do when I feel I have enough time and haven't hit anything and have my permit a year in half also I need to get over my fear of parking lots I get in trouble for asking questions but that understable because I been driving that long

I'm not worried about your slowing down. I'm worried about your lack of punctuation.

I ran out of time but would anyone want to meet up and help me drive so I can get a different view of driving then my mom

You literally have the worst life of anyone ever. I feel for you.

My first time driving, about two minutes in, my mom clearly pointed left, arm fully outstretched in front of me, and said, "Turn right. ... Why didn't you turn? I told you to turn!!! If you're not going to listen..."

Ha ha ha... My parents did the exact same thing to me... Their justification was "you did this to us all the time when we were driving you around". Don't worry.. It's not the end of the world.. Your parents will give you plenty more opportunities to be on FML in the future.

I have a feeling that the signs said you can turn only one way and parents got angry for you not realising. But maybe I'm wrong ;)

They're probably just worried about their little baby learning to drive. That's also probably why they waited so long to take you. They just don't want you to get hurt and are nervous about you driving.

I have a similar situation, my parents don't want to give me directions since they think I should know where I'm going, since we live here. Knowing where you're driving is very different though. They sometimes even give me wrong directions then yell at me for following those directions.

I DONT KNOW WHAT WE'RE YELLING ABOUT!! LOUD NOISES!!

don't worry, mine are that way too. I'm getting my licence in July, and my mom has been like this the whole time I've had my permit! it's because they're not used to the idea of you driving
