Today, my overweight colleague twisted his ankle. He's pretty self-conscious about his weight, but I had a brain-fart and told him he shouldn't try to put too much weight on it. His feelings are more hurt than his ankle now. FML

That's a typical thing to say about an injury. He should know that, and it shouldn't affect your ability to speak normally.

Don't worry if he complains about you to human resources, he doesn't have a leg to stand on

On the brightside the emotional pain you put them through makes thei physical pain hurt a lot less

you should also tell him to stop being a butt hurt little bitch. people need to learn to grow up and not cry about stupid little shit. if he is unhappy with himself he should change it

What a puss. If he's sensitive about his weight he should get a yoga mat or something and just try to work out in his spare time. That's what I do and I'm very self-conscious about extra weight. If he can't even take a minor comment without twisting it to be hurtful, he needs therapy.

As someone who is very self-conscious about their weight, you seem like a good person, and this is obviously a misunderstanding. Don't worry too much about it!

It isnt a brain fart. Its the truth. He shouldnt be so butt hurt.

Well it is good advice and really the doctor likely did or should have said the same thing

Self-conscious or not, he should be rational about it. Ankle/leg injuries are serious and should be dealt with carefully, and you were just trying to remind him of that.

sorry op I didn't mean to click ydi.
