Today my father lectured me with his politics again. He's THE stereotypical Trump supporter, and preaches to me a lot that all Muslims and Middle Easterns should leave the U.S. and be destroyed. But he forgets his ex wife is half Lebanese which makes me one quarter Lebanese. Let that sink in. FML

I'm one quarter ghost octopus (also from my mothers side - it gives me my glorious green hue), but I rarely bring it up. Let him know that you're genuinely bothered by his incredibly close minded thinking. That it offends you personally. I know, it would be great if people could just know what we're thinking at first glance, but if you haven't already discussed with your father that you're offended, his already bullish attitude will make him even more blind to your feelings. If you HAVE talked to him, I give my genuine apologies to you. There is nothing manly, fatherly, or courageous about someone who's views overlook their own child.

My family is the same way, op. Actually it's funny because my dad is super racist against black people....but his grandma is black.
