Well. That's awkward. Is it definitely indisputably a pride shirt? I've seen people get stuff they thought was LGBT+ pride stuff from family, confess, and it turn out to just be rainbow themed. If it is, it sounds like you have support from that corner at least.

Surely this is your dad saying "I know you're gay son & I'll support you whatever". He clearly has "pride" in you, gay or straight. Hard to ask more from a dad than that.
