Some people's children.... are male? did not have a human anatomy course in high school? were sheltered from learning about the human reproductive system? Really, ladies: when men think about your genitals, we tend to think about what we can put into them, not about what comes out of them. To a man who has lived in the United States, and grown in it's 'education' system, it's not unexpected that they (who have never had to experience a period, nor spent inordinate amounts of time watching women urinate) expect women to urinate through the big, obvious opening. The state of our education system is such that it is difficult to teach human anatomy and physiology, and understandably, the excretory process is typically not dealt with in any specific detail. Therefore, unless your boyfriend was a VERY curious child and his mother was very open, I find it hard to believe it could be expected for him to know exactly where your urethra is.

Hahahah to be honest I can totally sympathise with the OPs boyfriend when I was about 13 I remember asking a simmilar question in class, all the girls started laughing their arses off at me while all the guys were like WHAT!?? To be fair if you don't have a vagina you can't be expected to know, guys have one hole for pissing and one for pooping until I was told I thought women had the same amount, yet more proof we're from completly different planets perhaps...??

56 said it like a champ! even the private schools are praising mediocrity! it started with the no child left behind crap, how to you expect our generation to excel when we dumb it down for them just because parents don't give a crap and won't enforce their education?! bravo america.

Well put 56! If a girl sticks in a tampon that doesn't have her period, pees, and pulls it out. There will be a little bit of pee on it. Who knows this? People that experienced doing it. I don't expect every guy to know everything. He asked, you told him and now he knows. Not a big deal.

see even 95 didnt know about her own parts. but she said she was little... i didnt know about all the holes and whatnot until i was face to face to a vagina. and i didnt ask cuz i was embarrased about asking. i thought the pee and baby came out the same hole. us guys have it easy. we jizz and pee through the same hole. and we shit out through another hole. nothing to worry about

121 porn usually has dildos, fingers, penis, if shes loose maybe a fist, or something like that in the vagina. what porn shows a vagina all wide open and starts to explain the parts to it. in 5th grade is when i got the sex ed class. what 5th grader is paying attention? all the boys are there laughing and feeling all awkward they are learning all that. i failed biology... so i never paid attention enough to look at diagrams of genitals

I have to admit I didn't know this either till the first time I had my period. no one tells you this kinda stuff! I am a girl so a guy not knowing that doesn't surprise me. I am sure many guys and girls have asked or wondered this same thing :) not really a fml though.

193- there's this little thing on iphones & itouches & its called AUTO CORRECT. i am a grammar nazi too but that clearly was an accident & not on purpose. so go in a corner and finish your application to hogwarts.

I don't believe that is a fair comparison. Keep in mine the original post asked how women piss with a tampon in, not where it comes from. From a guys perspective, we're thinking if you shoved a tampon up our pee hole, we definitely could not pee.

in my school we learned about it separately. girls learned about the vagina and guys learned about the penis. I never learned about the penis in school and have the guys in my school still dont know a thing about the vagina

thats a very long very stupid comment..... dont have sex if ur unaware of the reproductive organs k!! how can u make it asif its ok to appear dumb when it comes to the human body

As an American woman, I specifically remember being in MIDDLE SCHOOL and being taught by one of my teachers (well, not really "taught" since I already knew) about the anatomy of the vagina and how it has two different openings, etc. Therefor, there is no reason why any person male or female shouldn't know about that unless they had SERIOUS problems with not paying attention in school.

ok look. Men have 2, count them 2, holes. One for urine, one for feces. Women have 3. Up until when I was 14 I didn't know that. Reason being is that the urethra is not separate from the vagina. Thus, confusion is very easy.

#56 It is common knowledge. There is no excuse. Especially not today when internet is so available and you can find all the answers you need. And sorry, not all males are ignorant that they would lack basic elementary knowledge and only care what they can stick in like dog in heat. If you are so ignorant of the human body you definitely should not have sex.

in my school we had Sex Ed for 4 years and never once did they mention that girls have separate holes for sex and urination. And I payed attention the whole time. I've been reading every FML daily as a habit for years, and the way I learned was through an FML similar to this one.

71: If my partner didn't know my basic anatomy, damn skippy I'm giving him a lesson! Only good things can come from that type of knowledge. As for quizzing, well, that's the fun part.

500- That is bull! Personally I have been through public middle school recently and I can state for a FACT that sex Ed is NOT taught. There is a section of life science about the functions of a penis and vagina but not together! There is even a permission slip that needs to be signed for the student to take part in this part of the class and at the top in bold it says THIS IS NOT A SEX ED CLASS! So no... It is not!

Oo How come your comment is burried? You are clearly right. I can not believe the ignorance of people. I simply cannot believe that they aren't from 3rd world country, attended elementary school, can read, have all the knowledge right in front of them on the internet and they are STILL so CLUELESS about BASIC facts about human body. I wonder if they even know they shit from different holes than they pee. Amazing.

ok awkward yes, but try to understand that there are a lot of guys out there who just don't learn about that aspect of that area, I mean unless he paid attention in sex-Ed where was he gonna learn. not something mum usually tells son.

If I found out my school was lacking in some education, either 1) I'd move him to a different school, or 2) teach him myself. Take some responsibility for your kids, people. Don't let your kids grow up to be idiots.
