Today, my boss yelled at me for leaving on time. After months of management hounding us about our overtime, I get in trouble for doing what I was supposed to do. FML

Some people just can't be pleased. Try not to take it personally. Maybe speak with someone above him/her and make sure they know what's going on, in case your boss tries to formally reprimand you.

What you don't realize is your boss wants you to work unpaid overtime. Be there, do the work, but don't record the hours. It's really very simple. And illegal and immoral....

Yeah they just want you to do overtime without compensation...this is a no win situation....idk your labor laws but if you really like your job just keep a journal of your overtime and when its time to go, first ask them to pay you out and if not go to the relevant department and complain your not being paid overtime...usually they will force the company to pay the majority of it
