In order to be able to pay rent and bills a loan is acceptable, if you know you get the money next month. If your boss is able to pay you, ask him what you should tell your kids ready Christmas. He will prob say to tell them Christmas isn't all about presents. So you reply: Next time you need extra hours I'll say life isn't just about work.

unfortunately this is perfectly legal. I'm Assuming you get paid on Friday. Christmas falls on a Friday. banks are closed and they can't do payroll. Some companies pay a few days before and some pay days after. it's kind of crappy but nothing you can do about it at least you know for next time

If your payday lands on Dec 25th like mine, than that sucks (but its not your boss's fault). If he's just skipping pay for one week, then you really need to talk to him/her pronto. And why are you waiting until the week of Christmas to buy gifts?

Our official paydate should be the 25th as well but in december we get paid a week early for the hours already worked this month exactly so we dont end up like this FML and unable to buy presents. Then on the 25th we'll get the rest of the money
