Today, just like every workday for the last 6 months, the construction workers in my building made loud noises in the morning and woke me up almost 2 hours before I would otherwise have to get up. This will continue for one more year. I'm not a morning person, and I live in a protected historical building. FML

Today, and the 4 months preceding it, my neighbors had been remodeling their house, which meant jackhammer noises every morning. The one day they take a break, my other neighbor decides to start a remodeling project. It'll only be two more months of this. FML

Today, it's the first day in 3 weeks that I'm in my flat after 7 a.m. due to a very busy work schedule. I was looking forward to a Saturday lie-in. Also today, my flatmate's alarm clock went off loudly from 7:30 to 10:30. He's in another country and his door is locked. Bye bye lie-in. FML

Today, and for the past two weeks, the people living directly above me have decided to add rearranging their furniture to their daily routines. Not only that but apparently, 6 a.m. is the most optimal time for them. FML

why don't you go have a word with the guys, cause if it disturbs the OP, I think there's a law somewhere that can help u out, it's to do with disturbing sounds at inappropriate times.

I'm pretty sure almost everywhere the law is no noise from midnight to 7am. Or at least it is where I live. Unless it's exceeding something ridiculous, like 140 decibels at the property line, they shouldn't be doing anything wrong. See if the workers are wearing ear-muffs -- if they're not you could probably bust the job for inadequate safety (OH&S).

My neighbors have been remodling their crumby house for the past 6 months. Not only does it disturb my sleep but I've gotren 2 flat tires from screws they've left laying in the alley behind our house.

"done law before"? lol that isn't even a proper phrase. I'm a lawyer and there is nothing wrong with what is going on. It sucks for the OP but it's not illegal. Noise ordinances are very local in nature and even if you found a little "case" i bet it isn't from Limmasol, Cyprus.
