Today, is the third day my ring won't come off. I used soap, vegetable oil, lotion, soaked my hand in ice to make the swelling of my finger to come down, and even my mom pulled so hard she dislocated my finger. FML

Why do you need to take it off? Just leave it there.

Rings can be quite a hassle. Don't believe me? There's a whole book series dedicated to one.

Take masking tape and, starting right next to your ring, wrap it around your entire finger. You can't leave it on very long, as it's going to cut off the blood circulation, but you should be able to get the ring off when your finger is wrapped. Otherwise, you'll have to cut the ring to get it off.

u actually need to heat the ring, not freeze it with ice.... i bet the ring is metal which means it shrinks/expands drastically depending on the temperature. it might expand enough that u can pull ur finger out with some oil

but how can she heat it up enough for it to expand without burning her finger?

pretty sure she put ice on her finger to reduce the size of the flesh as opposed to expand the ring.

Cold causes metal to contract. That's why ice wouldn't work

while at the docter getting help for your dislocated finger, you should've asked for help about the ring. doi!

she might have popped it back in herself and not gone to the doctor

some people's fingers swell up when they get hot... my mum has to take one of her rings off in the summer or it gets stuck

This has nothing to do with gaining weight. My fingers swell up in the winter from arthritis....
