I would be disappointed if I was expecting a ring as well, but I would have laughed hysterically at the gag gift. That's fantastic. Your boyfriend has a great (but maybe mean?) sense of a humour.
They're not married, no need for gifts. To me that's just high school. YDI
Gifts are nice no matter your relationship status. Why does being married call for anniversary gifts instead of dating? They're celebrating how long they have been together. You don't have to be married to celebrate that.
That sounds like a pretty good excuse to be a cheapass, 14. i pity your s/o. (if you even have one.)
At least he's got a good sense of humor.
At least he wants to stick with you. :)
That may have been the thought behind the glue, a symbolic gift.
Maybe he did it to throw you off and then he'll propose when you're not expecting it. :)
Well at least now you can use it to make the breakup card for him extra sparkly. Jk.
Unleash your creative side and give him a pejazzle whilst he sleeps.
Shouldn't that be OUR five year anniversary?

Well he didn't lie
Maybe he's gonna make you a ring out of sparkle glue.
