Today, I was yelled at and humiliated by my otherwise awesome brother-in-law for my supposed lack of effort in the planning of a baby shower for my very pregnant sister. The kicker? Her huge, break-my-bank semi-surprise baby shower has been in the works for a month and is happening this weekend. FML

I get it. For all of you that don't, at the end it turns out she WAS planning one, a huge "break my bank" one, but it was a semi-suprise one so the guy yelling didn't know.

its not a bad FML. anyways, it might not be a good idea to surprise the pregnant lady - she might get such a shock that she goes into labour prematurely! :P

I agree with #1 it's not really a FML. So what you have hurt feelings, he'll be the one to be embarrassed when he sees all the work you've put in in the end. Get over it. You know how much work you put in and all that you did, you could have easily shut him up on the spot by showing him all you've done, but you sat back and took it. Also, sounds like your brother in law is demanding a baby shower and doesn't realize that you're not required at all to give one. I'd cancel in a minute if they're demanding a party / gifts.

Hes probaly an asshole and will end up divorcing your sister in the future so be ready for that and when that happens tell her this story then she feel bad divorcing him.
