Today, I was walking through town with my hood up and noticed people giving me funny looks. It wasn't until I got home that I realised the umbrella I was holding over my head had been closed the whole time. FML

lol I'd rather people be amused because ny umbrella isn't open than be amused that it is open but the wind flipped it inside out. That's so embarrassing >,< lol

I wonder how the OP didn't notice their hood getting wet and usually rain makes a soft "pitter-patter" sound on an opened umbrella... I'd notice that if nothing else..

Still looked dumb walking around with his arm stuck in the air and holding the closed umbrella. If I did this I'd laugh at myself for a good five minutes.

Because even with your hood up, you should be able to hear the difference as rain hitting a hood sounds different than hitting an umbrella. If OP was wearing headphones that'd be one thing but even still, not to even get a glimps of a closed umbrella in the corner of his eye as he notices the other people? Not to have opened the umbrella as he lifted it over his head? SMH... No excuse i can see to make him not deserve it.
