Today, I was grounded for allegedly lying to my parents about being at my friend's house, in her outdoor hot tub. Apparently, my parents couldn't find me on Google Earth. I can't convince them that it's not actually a live feed. FML

Today, my parents scoured my browser history, certain that I have a hidden Facebook account that I'm using to get up to no good. Their reasoning was that there's no way my only friends are my relatives and that all I can post about is about the weather. FML

Today, I was taking a selfie. My grandma saw me, then after smirking to herself, she went and told my parents that I was "doing that sexting thing". They believed her and grounded me, even after I showed that all my photos and sent messages were totally innocent. FML

Today, I accidentally Googled "best types of incest" instead of "best types of incense" on the family computer. The parental controls went nuts. I'm now grounded, and my parents are convinced I need psychiatric help. FML

Today, I was grounded for not agreeing with an article on dating my mom found in a very strict magazine. The article told parents to monitor phone calls, make rumors about their children cheating on people and not allow their children anywhere but home. FML

Today, I briefly left my laptop while I went to use the toilet. When I came back, I found "I" had posted on Facebook, calling my mom a "stupid cunt who should just stay in the kitchen." The only other person home at the time was my grandpa. She didn't believe it, and permanently grounded me. FML

You'd think that people would figure out it isn't a live feed when they saw that they can only get static images, but I guess some people have a single digit IQ.

Okay, ask them to find your grandparents on Google Earth. Or anyone. Lots of luck explaining the difference between Google Earth and GPS.

I think it could be done. Google Earth uses photos snapped by satellites, GPS systems just send coordinates back and forth.

I assume your protests fell on deaf ears They're probably faking being that stupid because they don't wanna spell out their real intentions (control, power, isolation, etc). You would have been punished no matter what you did, and having failed to find an excuse, your parents picked a silly reason. Stay strong!
