Today, I was forced to spend an extra $318 for another plane ticket to Dallas. The ticket wasn't for my daughter, my mom, or my sister, but for the quarter of my butt that apparently needs its own seat. FML

well you gotta feel sorry for the person who might have been sat next to you if you hadn't bought the ticket. They would only get 3/4 of a seat for their butt otherwise :P

YDI, sorry but I hate sitting next to some guy or girl that is oozing their body mass over into my seat. Think of it as an overweight baggage fee.

Yes, but then they couldn't fit as many seats on the planes, which would mean fewer passengers, which would mean less money. So thats PROBABLY not going to happen. If anything, the seats will probably get a bit smaller.

24: They already have that. It's called "first class." If this OP's being honest about only needing 1/4 of another seat, then a first class seat should've had more than enough room for him. A little research before buying any tickets could've prevented this; it might've been cheaper to just buy a first class seat to begin with if there was any possible risk of having to pay twice for coach. Sounds to me like his denial just cost him $318.

making bigger seats would just encourage fat people to stay fat. just eat healthy and exercise or expect to pay for 2 seats.

why not buy a first class ticket than you would actually get service that doesn't suck and save cabbage

1st class would cost at least 4X more than another coach ticket... and you could probably do without the food and sodas!
