I guess you can say that your dreams were popped!
When I was like 10, I put the left over seeds in a bowl and put plastic over top so it wouldn't fly out, I didn't know heat burned out the plastic
Aluminum foil should work.
Yeah, for a whole different pop!
An explosion! Of flavor, of course.
when you've had a microwave your whole life and then yours goes out (which isn't cheap to replace), you just don't always think about it while you're impulse shopping (I haven't done it with popcorn, but things like hot pockets I have lol)
Easy, open the microwave bag and empty contents into a pan (that has a lid) add a tiny bit of butter (stops it sticking etc) place lid on pan and heat on a medium to high heat, occasionally shake pan to stop kernels burning. Your popcorn should start popping within a min, and will be done in 3 mins
we haven't had a microwave in over 2 years. It sucks sometimes when you want something fast or you want to zap leftovers, but my hubby makes great stove top popcorn. It really isn't hard, just don't overfill it and shake the pot as it starts to pop. And DW, I've bought packs of microwavable food from Sam's without thinking about it lol. The good news is you can always find an alternative way to cook it.

Fun thing about popcorn is that it's still seeds. Put it in a pot with a lid on and heat it up on the stove. It's so old school, it's retro-hip!
Put it in a pan and cover it and just leave it on the stove
